I have to say... I'm not much of a fan of final bosses.... and even the thought of fighting Abaddon frankly worries me.... as an Assassin.
Could anyone recommend a decent build? ... I think I'll manage to set up my heroes just fine, but ironically enough it is myself I'm worried about.
Assassin Build for fighting Abaddon?

A/W- 11-12 tactics, 15-16 dagger mastery, rest in critical strikes...use zealous daggerss
[skill]jagged strike[/skill] [skill]wild strike[/skill] [skill]death blossom[/skill] [skill]moebius strike[/skill] [skill]balanced stance[/skill] [skill]"watch yourself!"[/skill] [skill]dash[/skill] [skill]healing signet[/skill]
Keep balanced stance up as often as possible and spam "watch yourself!' for +20 armor. Use healing signet when needed.

I'd considered the anti-knockdown type things.... but wouldn't Lightbringer's Gaze be useful somewhere? I have 5 ranks in Lightbringer, for the record...

Lightbringer's gaze is virtually useless here, Monoliths are not effected and its not even armor ignoring, I'm not sure what the damage range of it will be on Abaddon since I never used it against him (if he has insane armor then tough luck)
Since your only going to get a small window of opportunity every now and then, I find spiking with Grenth's balance has the best overall effect coupled with a short combo that deals Deepwound and some degen (High DPS works as well but be sure to know when to stop). Surviving against monolith is rather easy as they don't spike very hard unless you get caught between 2 groups at once or offguard by a torment finger. Balance stance is useful but since I use GB I need to take some dmg so I don't bother (give it to ur heroes?).
Don't get intimidated by End-game bosses, as far as I know they're ridiculously easy in Normal Mode, Hard Mode is not so tough either atleast for shiro.

Diddy bow
i tried melle but he killed me way to easy, i tried crit barrage but damage was way too low.
Ended up forming a pug and playing as a a/p with cautary sig, about the best use i could find for my sin there. we won too thanks to the casters being able to cast

If you have a strong backline with two monks using Extinguish and at least one using Light of Deliverance, you should be able to complete the mission without a problem, even if low damage output does make it take all day to do. Just put a good Moebius build in your bar and become well acquainted with shadow stepping and defensive maneuvers.

I think assassian is not very important in this mission.
You just need 2 or 3 healer to make party healing ,remove hex and remove daze. After that, more power D.P.Ser can help finish the battle quickly.

Dutch master's build is perfect here. The combo can kill he monoliths with ease, prevent the most annoying skill in the game(word of madness) and provide conditions(great vs abaddon) and excellent dps. Thats all that really matters against him.

Yap. i agree. Dutch Master's build stands well against him. Provided you have good overal team dmg and several sources of degen Vs Abaddon, you should have no problems. LoD monk + Martyr/Cautery hero will keep yall going real well.
Oh, and tip for Cautery, i often have LoD hero, Healer henchy, and the Paragon hero, and run the hero with Cautery + Mantra of Inscriptions, getting my Cautery to a trusty 9 second recharge, works wonders!
cheers! and GL
