As the title says it, what are your worst gw experiances.

Mine was today and coulda been my best experiance;

this weekend is ideal for 2nd tier survivor title with the xp caps, unfortunatly my rit which i wanted survivor was still on shing jea. So i set myself a challenge to get her off the island in time for event.
I have had many unfortunate times when gettin the title with my rit and had to restart many times over the past year or so. This time i got annoyed, i left it afk and thought id be ok but nooooo. i got killed somehow.

So i remade my rit yesterday and did very well for myself . Today i got off shing jea lvl 18 , 123,000xp and ready to get my title. Ready for the weekend event.
BUTTTT NOOOO!! running to keineng i got ambushed even thou i took the western side and bought henchie team!

I thought i did relaly well gettin so much xp over short amount of time. Didnt run thru missions or train myself
I dunno whether ill try again as its so depressing when u loose it

So what is your worst experiance.....

I did it. best experiance ever!!!!

Survivor in 8 and a half hours!! 2morrow im goin skill capping. got a whole day left of event

Bonding in foundry at 6am (having been up all night). Probably doesn't sound bad to some of the hardcore types, but I'm a guy who likes his sleep, and I literally lost the bonds every three minutes, kept forgetting to Blessed Sig, or kept letting the tank out of range.

wow thats gotta suck.....there was this one time....in band camp...oh wait wrong thread. uuhm well a few months....almost a year back actually when the game was being really....really....uber friggin laggy and i couldnt do much without losing connection (long before the re-connect after disconnect) i was doing a dual UW run with a buddy. By some stroke of fate i had gotten 2 ectos out of 1 mob which when you figure it is a less than slim to none chance....i had taken a screenie of it just because i thought it was friggin amazing. after taking the screenie i started rubberbanding badly...so i attempted to run like hell to go grab these when low and behold code:007 (plays james bond theme). which wouldnt seem that bad to most. on the same day i was also about 30 seconds away from winning my first HoH match....ever. when again......code 007. but i was hopeful since the lag would clear right up afterwards. so i decided to go generally farming.....not really expecting anything rare. I had gotten a black dye early in the run and was pretty giddy about that....further on into the run once i got down into sorrows furnace i had another one of those 1 in a million chances and had a drago flatbow (sundering) drop. so i ran like hell for it and aggroed about 3 mobs of stone summit and dredge and whatnot....when again CODE: 007!!11!111 needless to say i gave up for about a week till it was fixed. -_-

My worst experience was collecting one of the free Treasure Chests in Elona with a PUG. Most of us rushed the chest and died, but we all grabbed our items except for one person who died just before he could click on it. Well one person in our PUG didn't die, so he went AFK for an hour (I am stubborn, so I stuck around and watched them) and waited for everyone to log out so he could go snag the item himself.

You know what he got for his trouble? A sapphire. He was that low and that uncaring for a 3.5k gem.

That really ruined my afternoon.

just happened yesterday - i've played PvE ever since the game came out, but have recently set myself a goal of earning a ghostly hero in HoH for a change of pace. - after being involved with a few unsuccessful pugs, i found myself agan looking for a group. i put myself searching for a group in the search feature, and posted a LFG message and waited for a response.

an el offered me an invite through the search, it was just him so i was expecting that he was going to start up a group and accepted. i had just started to tell him that the last group had me set-up weird for enchant shut downs and asking him how he wanted me to set-up: when clear out of the blue - he switch's us over to Zaishen Challenge, throws a couple of bots in and starts up the battle without ever saying a word to me.. we of course get smoked right off the bat , and then out of the blue he leaves. - WTF?

Losing at the end of areas of DoA because of people leaving for work or disconnects. After going through that about 10 times when the area was new and even making major contributions to what sorts of builds were going on, I never really could get into it again. There's just nothing like spending 4 hours or so only to have it go to pot.

Long night of farming, so I wasn't pay attention. I NPCed 3 ghail staves, a sup. vigor rune, and a perfect sundering IDS of Fort (It had dropped that way).

Solo farming today - killing the groups of margonites that spawn with Battle of Turai's Procession - and getting no drops from any of them 3 farm runs in a row.
Mind you that is around 100 enemies each run that dropped nothing...gfg loot scaling bullshit.

I also would like to mention this really creepy thing that I just started noticing...

Every time I play Fort Aspenwood, on the Kurzick side, I get reeeeeeeally really cold, like to the point where I'm shaking. Even when it's warm, like today - it was 70!

Does anyone have any logical explanation to that? I won't go back there until I figure out what's causing it.

I don't have anything major, but there are 2 incidents I remember...

The first was on my first character when I was exploring the Crystal Desert alone. I was trying to complete the 15 Attribute Point quest and couldn't fight my way through, so I decided to run. It went well, but Alesia died. No sweat, I had Lina still. I got close to the end, but then got mobbed by minotaurs and only I died. My henchmen had used their resurrection signets already and as for Lina? She ran back to Alesia. She didn't die, but she came up to a group of enemies then ran back to me to avoid combat. Then she ran back to heal Alesia because Alesia's the monk. Uh oh, the enemies don't move. Needless to say I had to start from square one.

The second was when I was first attempting missions in the Maguuma Jungle. The Wilds' bonus; I was with a friend before but we got wiped and decided to use a PUG instead of henchmen. We go to get the seed but one of the players just charged in without stopping and killed everything even though we were yelling at him not to move in/do anything/stop/etc. Then he went AFK so we just left. =/

overall, the horrible pugs that I'm forced into because all the good players are in HM. I went to Tomb the other day and spent 30 mins spamming "MM lfg NM" and when I get into a group everyone else is a newbie!! We all wiped and so I spent another 30 mins looking for another group. That group have leechers AND leavers. Grrrr!! I just want some decent drops and maybe a green or an ecto. I absolutely despise HM.

Also, I was doing Vizunah Square with a pug and all the way at the end people went afk and didn't tell anyone so we got owned by the last and easiest mob of Afflicted.

I got Masters later on but it made me hate pugs even more. I generally pug on the assumption that toons controlled by humans are smarter than NPCs. I think maybe I'm too optimistic about the intelligence of some GW players sometimes.

hmm somehow i don't believe you since IDS are always the same when dropped . .. plus you can't have a sundering IDS since they're ICY Dragon Swords.

hmm worst experience . .. probably doing one of the fire islands missions and spending 2 hours trying to kill the mursaat monk boss before we were finally able to separate the two bosses and kill one.

PUGS.

People leaving mid way through, people leaving after they capped a skill, people generally not following strategy, wammo's agroing everything in sight, etc...

And that one time a player abused me because i was afk and i didn't join his team for a mission (you know the random invites). I mean wtf get some sense pls.

Well my worst is really bad, merched my req 7 15% always falchion. then to top it off lost 3 req 8 15^50 FDS same way to lag. Then just recently had these drop but to bad they are raher worthless now and they are all from the same run

Well it's probaly not the worst for me, but i keep remembering it :

We where in a FOW chest run group shortly after shadow blades where out,
one of the runners spotted a chest near some skales and hydras and we all but 1 barge in on it and try to open the chest

Unfortunately a shadow blade req 9 dropped for a teammate but he couldn't pick it up thanks to meteor storm.
Only 1 teammember was still alive after that mostly because he didn't ran for teh chest just yet.
So we ask him to res us, apears he has no res handy..
So i say wait 10 minutes or so and you pick up that shadow blade for the teammate.
Of course he did and picked it up before getting killed by hydra's.
But he didn't give it to the guy for who it dropped....

I was running towards a chest in tombs while my guildmates finished off the last monsters. The last monster dropped an ecto for me and I was half the map away from it... And the timer starts ticking... 30... 29... I didn't make it.

Would've been my first ecto ever!

And this one time a monster died in an area which is not accessible by players... Guess what it dropped... A black dye!

Some bad trades that happens me rarely, the worst was when I missed buying an everlasting beetle tonic for 100k+10e.......

And when my survivor ritu got owned by an assa boss after finishing ALL the kaineng quests..... (max armor, 180, and 120 dmg, gg) My ritu had about 300k xp, though.

I think the worst thing that happened to me was early on. Was going to get a ride on the "Droks Run express". Well, the guy wanted 1k up front. I was naive, paid him. Well, he couldn't get anyone else to go so he left, taking my 1k with him.

Since then, I have learned that I trust no one on here. I hate to be xenophobic, but I rarely trust anyone I don't know.

My worst experience involved recruiting a person who could only be called a psycho. I thought the person sounded ok when I was talking to him and invited him to join our guild. Once in we found out he was a royal pain who thought he knew it all. Our leader finally had to boot him and he immediately got one of our alliance guilds to invite him from which again got booted. I then put him on ignore and was done with him. Last night he tried to get our leader to invite him under another name but same account so we knew who it was by checking. He is just the player from hell, if I didn't have scruples I would name him for all to avoid. So be careful on who you ask to join you, you just never know.

Had plenty of good and bad experiences whilst playing GW.

My most recent bad and annoying experience had to be today. I was taking advantage of the Double EXP skill capture weekend like many others in order to advance the survivor title on my monk.

After several hours i reached the second tier Survivor title. i then went outside on another skill cap journey from Camp Hojanu into Barbarous Shore. I proceded down to Captain Mehdi to cap Vow of Strength, i cleared two of the groups near him and then went for his group to kill him and make the capture. As myself and my Heroes/henchies were fighting his group a lag spike hit and it froze "Oh S**t was my response". A few seconds later the lag spike went and i found myself dead.

After i picked up my keyboard/mouse from the other side of the room, i vowed to myself to never bother with this stupid title again.

Finally collected 100k, took 'm out of storage, went outside dropped them (just to see what it looked like) took a screenie, clicked on the gold to pick it up, it obviously caused some kind of error cause on the moment I clicked it the game crashes, i log in after 3 mins, no cash and everybody in town was talking about the weird log off they had :S

My worst had to be 5 min ago.. I'm vanquising Snake Dance and capping skills while im here. So far I've been disconnected twice. Which isn't all that bad since you can reconnect. Problem is: I know have no idea where I've been

When you reconnect the red dot trail on your map resets. Grrrrr, Connection and lag problems are pretty much the only thing that's making my GW experience suck. I usually don't have a problem with lag etc.. the last 2 weeks have been awful. Also worth mentioning. I was busy doing Abbadon's Mouth in HM last weekend. After about 2 hours into the mission our WHOLE party starts lagging, and then suddenly one by one starts disconntecting. Needles to say....LFP mission and bonus Abbadon's Mouth Hard mode
