It's one of a farming spots in GW, you can't really go can call all of them, bots y'know. A lot of people farm there because it's and easy farm, not a lot of gold but they get by. And I'm sure there are bots mixing in there as well, but you have to watch them carefully, the way they moved, their names if it jibberish, are they guildless? and so on.
Be real sure and careful of what you see, before you decide to report anyone.
I myself hated botter as well but I also seen a lot of real people get banned because they farmed in the same hot area as bots. Not just there but in tyria and elona as well.

Do we need a new botter thread for each new location they try?
Between loot scaling and HM, I'm sure they are trying many different locations and then measuring the total gold/time as they try to settle on the best new farming spots. They're going to be spread all over the place instead of concentrated in one area for a while, big deal.

Just wondering, why are they all wearing gray tattoos? I use canthan non tattoos for my +energy armor on my 55. Its cheaper as it doesn't need parchment.

Mind quoting me where that big Dev Update said the loot scaling nerf was supposed to significantly reduce botting? What they claimed was that it would reduce *inflation* caused by botting, and the most expensive items in the game at least are dropping in price, while gold costs a ton more cash. This mitigates the actual effect botters have on other players, aside from encouraging them to post screenshots in silly threads.

theyre farming gold armors n such...i used to 55 that area a while back....you can also MM farm the arborstone mish up to the point where you grab the urn. anyrate yeah more than likely those are bots....but i also see a lvl 19 monk o_O according to gaile in one of the other botter threads they ban about 2000 bots per either week or month i think it was. which may be an exaggeration...maybe not. these bots and accounts can be bought by the barrel full. the fact that gold on ebay and other websites went from 60 dollars to 160 dollars says enough for me....aint no one in their right mind gonna pay almost 3x as much for gold as they used to (which back when i started i checked prices on ebay and i was 40 bucks for a mil. i was almost tempted then i remembered i have a wife n house to support lol) the bots are basically there to farm gold easilly over the night or day for people who are too lazy to farm complicated stuff themselves. i think instead of attempting to ban bots and getting innocent farmers stuck in the middle....they should work on some sorta better 3rd party detection program that either 1: auto bans any account using a 3rd party program that automatically controls an account while your afk or 2: scramble the coding that these 3rd party programs use so that the bots wont work right and will just run in circles continuously. or 3: find these people who sell these bot programs...buy one...and find a way to ban the perticular coding.

I'm guilty of farming wardens, great place for materials and runes (o noes the secret's out!). Of course better before the nerf, but like others said, it's easy. Luckily my 55 armor is Luxon; no one would confuse me with a bot, I hope; no bot employer would tolerate such extravagance.

Best way to figure out if in fact they are bots:
See if they run to the zone portal sign, pause for 2-4 seconds and then run out.
Just like the Monks do at granite and yohlon Haven and beetletun? Or hot springs? One of those.. just like the E/A's do at rilohn refuge international ..

Banning bots doesn't really do anything...they just buy a new account and start up again. Being banned is a business expense they are willing to absorb...they have to absorb it if they want to stay in business.
Anet probably bans bots from these places regularly...but the accounts get replaced quickly so we don't really see a difference.
Why wouldn't Anet ban bots...it's a constant source of income for them.

I've just got my warrior here for the first time and i haven't been here since i got my ranger through. I was looking forward to getting here after seeing this thread last week.
All i can say is that the torrent of bots (Mo/Me's) going through to Aborstone explorable speaks volumes for the current situation in Guild Wars.
Very sad and disgusting when they outnumber the players in any place.
