Greens can drop when you're in a group with hench. They have always done so. You just have a smaller chance of getting a green when you're with hench because technically hench get drops too, you just never see them.

In my year of playing, I've only gotten three green drops ever, and every single time I've been in a full hero/hench team. I got one of the greens just last weekend when I was out capping elites. Capped eight elites, and got one green drop in Nightfall.

There are a few times I went with a smaller team (like 6) but most of the time I was in 8. Even so, in the past I would have seen maybe 2 or 3 greens out of 80+ bosses with an 8 man team.

It was just extremely disappointing to see so few drops. /-:

Kill the mobs around the boss, and then send your bots (heroes+henchies) outside the minimap a significant distance (their name should be grayed out and un-selectable on the party menu) and solo whatever boss you want the green of. Tried, true, and an easy way to get the greens you desire (I personally never sell the damn things, just farm the ones I want

I didn't bother capping any skills this weekend as I honestly don't care about the experience (I have more than enough skill points).

But I did decide, while going through the early Nightfall Quests.... to just kill the Acolyte of Melandru for fun....... and I got her green first try. It was quite funny actually. ^_^

I also aquired one Shing Jea green while farming Hard Mode Kinya Province (Tahkayun's Pincers, which I really wish could be maxed out)... but that is hardly rare.

I have an entire storage character full of greens... About half of them I farmed (a good portion of those on triple green-drop weekends)... a third dropped randomly..... and the small remainder are from other sources (a small few I bought, and at least one Amulet of the Mists and one Book of Secrets, along with one hero armour piece from one of the challenge missions)...

I'd say you just got unlucky. Personally, a few weekends back when I finished capping the elites in Nightfall and Factions, I found about 6 greens. All a matter of luck.

meh I'm doing the math on this just for the hell of it.

Chance of getting X greens in 80 kills with a full party:

X=0: ~45%
X=1: ~36%
X=2: ~14%

not that unlucky after all... happens almost to half the players.

one last tidbit - Since my char I was capping on is a paragon, while doing factions caps I was relying on capping on my 2ndary (changing it all the time). I, as an example, did the Temples mission 8 times in a row - once for each boss. So not only did I CAP over 80 bosses but I passed more than double that just trying to cap specific ones. I'd pass bosses along the way to getting to the boss I was trying to cap from in other words. So in all fairness I went through (and yes defeated) over 160 bosses easily this weekend. (Yeah - I played a lot). Just seems unlikely (possible yes).

I'm pretty sure if you check wiki you will find that no boss in the temples mission drops a green.

Ouch, never took the time to work out the odds. A 45% chance that you'll get no greens after killing 80 bosses in a party does seem a bit low. You could certianly play all the way through a campaign without getting one. Looks like solo is the only way you can expect results.

I have found a number of greens during my play.
Most of them when just playing, I farmed a few during the double (Cantha) weekend.
Today I hit a mesmer offhand in Elona, before that some Ele offhand on the Elona starters island.
I have met and killed numerous bosses exploring Elona and only a few dropped their green.

It's just luck when you hit one.

Reality is your lucky if you get a green

I have the three campaigns, 5 lv20 characters have gone for titles, done lots of skill caps, beaten many green carrying bosses, # of green drops over 21 months = 0

The only greens I have were purchased

Nice collection- If I put my greens out for a screen shot my system would crash on me “just to piss me off” Anyway a full team of eight Hench/heroes and capped 50 bosses this weekend and not a single green in Nightfall.

Completed legendary skill hunter this weekend killed easily 200 bosses and dropped not a single green weapon. In fact the only greens I've ever dropped when not specifically farming for them solo were:

Rotwing Recurve Bow
Kanaxai's Axe
Victo's Axe
Mogriff's Staff

Out of those only 1 really counts and its trash. To say greens are tough to get playing normally I think is an understatement. Just imagine if solo farming didn't work...everyone and their mom wouldn't have access to all these greens and they'd really be worth something.

Have farmed The Falls a hundred times. Not a single Totem Axe or the fan.

Luck is the king of deciding factors. For instance, I refuse to go Green Farming unless people need monking..or a MM (past tense - insert necro nerf whinging) for the group as I never get a drop. I mean NEVER. I went through factions when it was new, and the only green item that I saw was the end game item. So, yeah - luck is king.
