A specific rune farming question ...

I am a level 20 W/Mo, have all 3 campaigns, would like to farm a 'rune of minor swordsmanship' and a 'rune of minor axe mastery'. Where can I most easily get these runes?
Should I farm creatures or buy chest keyes (expensive!!)?
If farm - which creatures?

I'd suggest just buying them from a rune trader, be far cheaper and far quicker that way, however if you're doing what I'm trying for a challenge, only using items that drop for you, I'd suggest farming the lower level areas for two reasons.

1 - Even with loot scaling, 1 person in an area developed for 4 people will get better drops than a 8 party member area

2 - Much fast farm with easier mobs.

Any.

when u get unid armor, even if it droped from a warrior, i could still contain .. say a mesmer rune.

like milan said, just farm around low level areas, quicker and easier.

hope 2 get a few runes.

or just buy em from trader

You can always find a farming partner, more people these days = more droppings. I find the Grawls outside Droknar's Forge drop good amount of runes, you can start out there. Runes are completely random, anything in this game can drop any rune.

But to be helpful and because in a sick way I'm enjoying the idea of you farming for the next 3 years trying to get a rune thats easy enough to buy(alright he could need it for ID purposes), Farm low level areas, in normal mode. Not sure on the loot in hard more in regard to minors.

But Low level in normal, try the northern wall mission over and over, the lower areas we designed to supply the lower runes.

ya the runes are like idk, 100g at the trader. The few ones that go for more than 1k atleast are sup monks, fire, death and some other weapon related ones.

Those minor can be purchased via trader. -_-
100++ each.
Why waste the time to farm when you can buy them at 100++ each.

Try the first few mission in proph. More easy to kill melee creatures there. Melee creatures has a higher chances of dropping melee runes, though they drop others too.
