I did the same farming run all weekend, trying to save up for FoW armor.
The funny thing is, I was thinking that this would come of it...can't blame em, I know they are doing their job and it is nice to see that they want to take care of the bot problem, just wsh they could get bots
Thanks again for the speedy reply.

You need to open asupport ticket by going to http://guildwars.com/support/,choosing your region then 'ask a question'. It won't appear for everyone else to see, only support themselves will see it.
300k in one weekend, though I think it is GG, they probably get this request 1,000 times a day, would be nice if they gave in though and gave it back. Kinda sux to think that this will almost definatly just result in me giving them more businedd to replace the 3 chaters...GG
Thanks again for the help people, and remember, ONLY FARM OLD ASCALON IN NM!!!

Bot like activity is running straight to merchant/xunlai going through every people in the district, zoning out farming the same spot in teh same way, zone back and repeat. To avoid it, travel somewhere else once in a while, don't take the straight path to the NPCs. Act like you would act if you weren't farming but only playing to get through the game.
Tijo is right mix up what you are doing every once in a while. Head to an area that you havent been in a while, go to a newbie area and give away a few of the good weapons that you collected (I know I will get flack for that). Just don't do the same thing repeatedly for more than 3 or 4 times before you go somewhere else. Most bots stay in teh same area for hours on end which gives clear indication of what they are.

They should get some real programmers. |
even if they were real bots, they could come here and say they werent botting and that they were just farming.
and if they do get bot banned, do you think their owners will come here and say "my account was rightfully banned because i was using a bot"?
not saying that the op is a bot though
glad to know your account was unbanned
OT: 300k a weekend? wow, nice farming spot you must have there...or does that include power trading?

I would ask:
Did you use the keyboard shortcuts to move to the trader/xunlai agent etc?
It's those keyboard shortcuts the bot programs use to direct the bots through the game by targeting the npcs, enemies and signs (bot programs are not usually hacks of the gw.exe as many people think. They are simply programs that control key presses and simple movements of the mouse pointer.) Unfortunately, if you play the same area for a lot of time during the day, it is a lot easier to use those same kinds of shortcuts to move your character over and over. Target sign, four steps right, out the door etc. It becomes kind of automatic even for a human.
Not saying this is what happened to you but, if you find yourself using the keyboard to move your character, especially in a town or outpost, it might be a good idea to break yourself of that habit. There will be less chance that you will be confused with a bot.
