Haven't there always been bots in Granite Citadel?

They have been there for nearly 2 years. Bots are everywhere.
No matter how many accounts they ban, the bots will alway exist as there is a demand for them.

However the more accounts they ban, the more money they make.

My account also just got banned. I have never botted in my life. I was farming dead bows outside bergen at the time. I have opened a support ticket and am waiting for a reply. Anet is incompetent.

Of course I do. That's why I said it. I've given Anet over $150 and I'm a little pissed that they banned me for nothing.

I've read something ANet never bans for ever..

Just for an amount of days..

And btw, power trading is sort of merchanting, buying things cheap and selling then higher, so you make profit. I think this is the very best way to make money.

No not nothing, you looked like a bloody bot, or you were actually running one. We'll never know for sure because nobody would be stupid enough to admit on a forum such as this that they were actually running one. And those who are and post here, probably claim they are innocent, because everyone is, right?

I'm sure they can program a bot to do that, too.

Why would a botter bother spending the time posting in this forum that they got banned? Botters get their accounts banned all the time. It's easier (and more money), to just accept it and buy a new account.

Anet unbanned me this afternoon. They said they double checked and I was clearly now a bot.

So go to hell.

EXACT message i got when i tried to log in, they did away with the days at a time thing.

I'll go to hell when you show me the way. People complain all the time about how bots are screwing things up, etc etc etc. My own alliance had someone admit to using a bot in RA, etc, but it wasn't an AFK aspenwood leech bot so it was ok (their words). But the moment ANet gets just a little bit aggressive with removing the bots from a particular area and hits a few extra people, you guys whine, call ANet incompetent, etc etc etc. You want them to get rid of the bots, but that takes some pretty aggressive code and the moment they implement it and get a couple false positives ANet is incompetent. GIVE ME A BREAK. Deal with the issue if/when it happens, it's your play style that's causing it. If you think you can do better, then by all means, get a job with ANet and prove it, but till that time, don't come on here and whine about the incompetence of ANet's coders, it's not their fault that you derive pleasure from doing the same thing over and over so much that you look like a damn machine.

arguing doesn't solve anything. we have had numerous threads about bots and false bannings etc. and we don't need more.

So stop the arguing.

Forcing people to change their playing habits because they "look" like a bot is preposterous! I don't remember reading anywhere in the Terms of Agreement that I must play in a certain way which does not make me look like a robot or I could be permanently banned. I paid a lot of money for all 3 campaigns and if I was unfairly banned I'd be pissed.

Reason, I believe you are exhibiting extreme patience and understanding in these circumstances and I don't believe I would've handled this as calmly.

Not everyone who runs bots are gold selling companies. Some are other players, who most likely do read forums to get the good farming area's then run it to make gold while AFK.

I JUST GOT A PERMANENT BAN 2 DAYS AGO I SENT ANET MANY EMAILS AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I WAS USING 3RD PARTY PROGRAMS BUT I NEVER DID!!!!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING :'( can anyone help me???????? could they have mixed me to someone else or could my computer have been hijacked or something??? i got the exactly same text...i'm not using bots but still they tell me i am. I woldn't first spend over 150€ to game and then risk everything i have ever had to stupid bots!!! i hope they could understand me. I'm making a spyware scan atm and i have already found 252spyware....i usually use my own computer to play Guild Wars but for the last week i have been using my dad's computer which (as it now seems) is full of spyware AND I CAN'T GET RID OF THEM maybe someone has hijacked my account or then a trojan downloader has downloaded/installed a bot or something? because i have never done those things in my whole gw history and i never will..I JUST WANT TO ENJOY THE GAME! and i wouldn't be seeing this much work to get my account back if i really was using bots...why this kind of things always happen to me..IT'S SO UNFAIR sorry for using caps but i really want my account back..i hope someone can help me thank you
