Instead of having to wait ages to get into an AB because there are no opposing teams, why can't we fight a team of NPC's instead? Recently I've been waiting over 10 minutes to get into some AB's and personally I'd prefer to spend the time doing something 'productive' in the game rather than just sitting there watching the timer continually count down. I think it's silly being denied the chance to get some faction just because there aren't enough opponents.
NPC team opponents in AB

Anyway, Alliance Battles have been harder and harder to get in to as time goes on, so sure, adding NPC teams to fill the gaps might not be a bad idea, as long as the AI scripting wasn't entirely retarded. Run to nearest shrine, capture nearest shrine, repeat, engage opposing team only if X condition is met (damage done to your team, amount of opponents, whatever). Something along those lines.
Whatever you may say, AB is PvP. There honestly is no discussing it. Sure you might have people running around capturing shrines, but there's almost a 100% chance you're going to encounter another person along the way.
I will, however, sign for the minimum amount of human players and heros idea. The only thing I can think of that would be wrong with this is that if one person goes AFK and brought a full team of heros, it's bye-bye match due to 4 "people" not playing.

Guessing from the time the OP posted, and the time the image was uploaded, he was playing at 10 am GMT (5 am EST) on a Tuesday. Now, unless I'm mistaken, a large number of European players are either at work or at school at that time (I myself was asleep).
So really, I see no issue, either than the fact that this person is trying to play at one of the slowest times of the week. Really, do you expect people to be playing at 2 am to 12 am?
If I'm not mistaken, during a weekend, at a reasonable time like 8 pm GMT (3 pm EST), the Alliance battle outposts are quite populated with people because that's the time when most people can play.
Also, NPCs would hardly be able to come close to matching the performance of a group of human players in an AB. Seriously, computer AI is still only about as smart as a goldfish.

I don't understand why the waiting time isn't scaled. It would be somewhat simple to go, "Okay, no matches for this side launched 5 times, let's increment the "wait period" to 1:00 to better reflect actual wait times. That didn't work for 5 times, let's incriment it to 1:30, and so on... Or, "people on opposite side waiting to join > 10, let's decrease the wait time a little bit. People on opposite side waiting to join > 50 let's decrease the wait time by a lot.
This way when the timer says, "Time to start: 18:00", you'll think, "Gee, maybe I shouldn't bother after all, more people will give up on the wait, and the line will get shorter. Or people will know how much time they have to goof off.

lol no offense thats one of the worst ideas I've heard
You're playing AB for the pvp aspect of it(atleast I think) if you wanna run around and kill a bunch of stupid ai stuff go play pve.
I remember lots of people saying that only 5 games can go at a time
IF you want to get fast games go play luxon, or just stop complaining.
It's not the luxons fault, its the kurzicks because you probably have 3 times as much ppl abing then the luxons.
