I've not stepped in HM much since it was launched, was only interested in doing it with my derv and well he's not much use there and I prefer playing solo because there's just not always people around to help and since henchmen still suck I rarely play it and my derv just takes up a useful spot really.
I've done odd bits of hard mode to try to farm but its pretty much hopeless, i'm now broke and just turning away from the game totally except the odd guild event
How many of you are using Hard Mode? are you bothered about it?

I tried it when it came out, got good drops and it was fun....then someone told me about the sunspear farming place and I got my next level of spearmarshal (still need another 15000 for the max).....its gotten a bit boring so I only do hm for those points.....most of the time I have been playing my new monk who is not level 20 yet and therefor cant do hm.....but when she gets there I doubt I will.....if I want a challenge I just go to the domain of pain in the butt and try to cap skills.....though its nice to try a new thing for a change of pace (am doing the starter island stuff in hm for laughs....)

I love hard mode, its great to play through all the original areas again and be rewarded for it. For people who have completed it in normal mode Hard mode is a really good addition it helps boost titles, generate gold and gives u things to do once again.

I like Hard Mode, but it is hard for my mesmer as I have had to totally change my build makeup to cope with the fast casting of the foes now
However I dont do it as much as normal mode, I'm a title collector so I will be doing it but i have other jobs in game to do,
In normal mode I capture elites, uncover map, do the quests, and missions to get further in game, hard mode will be the last thing i do on any character,
Also due to needing the lighbringer title to be able to function effectively in the later stages of Elona, I tend to farm them in the desolation in hard mode.
My mesmer is nearly at the stage of going hard mode only, She has the malyx quest to complete and one other DOA quest to do, then I will have completed all missions and quests possible, with that done, I will farm LB and SS points to max those titles out and then attempt missions and vanquisher on her. My other characters mostly need to complete the other missions and quests first. My Ritualist needs to do Tyria, and farm LB points, and has a couple of misios to master in elona to complete there.

Since it came out I've been in Hard Mode 95% of the time, the 5% I wasn't in Hard Mode I was doing some stuff in Factions and Nightfall where I don't have it unlocked yet.
I've mainly been working on the Guardian title, because it's fun to go through all the missions again, and the PUGs are often much better than in Normal Mode. But Vanquishing areas is also fun to do from time to time.

Vanquishing Elona is my current project with 4 places left to go. I like the challenge and Titles and since I always liked trying to kill everything in a zone anyways Vanquishing was the obvious way for me to go

I would have thought that they would have started at some what lower levels and then worked up as you progressed through the map, but noooooo. They right away start with levels 26 and up. Pulling is a nightmare because you can't just pull one, the whole damn group goes with. The damn grawl monks are almost impossible to kill, although I've had some success with bringing a condition mesmer with me. It still seems to be too hard for that area.

I play it a bit. It's better than normal mode because it's not retardedly easy. The drops are ok once in awhile, but on the whole, underwhelming, since you still get too much low grade merch fodder. It hasn't really gotten that many more players into the game so there's not a lot of grouping anymore.

I play it whenever I play PvE nowadays. Unless I am running a primary quest or something to get to a new outpost.

i only play hard mode for farming. going through each chapter for the first time was good fun but having to go through them again with different chars to get to my farm spots isn't so exciting...so doing missions/vanquishing in hard mode is out of the question for me. and i did try a couple of missions in hard mode to see what they were like but it only reminded me how much i hated henchies

I play hardmode for treasure/wisdom and sunspear/lightbringer titles. I hope to get all my characters to legendary spearmarshal. So I've only been playing hardmode in Elona because the other two don't help with sunspear title at all, so to me they are less rewarding.
I'm also working on vanquishing Elona with my ele. So far I haven't had too many problems, but I may need a guildie's help for some areas because the henchies just suck.
As for the missions: Missions are one of my least favourite things to do. It was annoying enough just getting protector after dragging 10 characters through the same missions. Hardmode missions are exactly the same, but with buffed monsters. I'll pass.
I don't have any plans for doing hardmode in Cantha or Tyria yet. That said, my assassin still needs a max title (I try to get a different max title for each character). But for some reason I'm not sure that she's the best character to vanquish cantha or tyria with...

Seeing how 95% of my playing time is spent with PvE -- I'm definitely doing hard mode. I'm going (very very very slowly) for vanquisher, and missions AND if I don't have as much time, just out for a few drops here and there or to farm LB and Sunspear.

My biggest beef is that they have turned normal mode into a mind numbing cakewalk. One of my guildmates is just not experienced enough for hard mode, but tagging along with her in normal mode and seeing how badly the game has been dumbed down is frustrating. I kind of worked hard to get all my protector titles with PUGs alone (before hard mode), and now they are meaningless.
But then, you can't please everybody.

Hard mode is quiet finished for me.Something I dont like about itis the half cast,half recharge on skills.I usually play interupt ranger.Which is pointless playing now because I have to guess shot my interupt.
It would be better if they gave the caster monster 20% half cast on thier weapon just like player have.

No no, it was fun for the first few days, then got boring again. Now I only play GW if my lady asks me too. Otherwise I'm off doing something else, or playing another game.
The only thing that bothers me is, it's not fun for me.

Have played a bit for HM but only to get SS/LB points which you don't get nearly a fair amount of in normal mode. Beyond that I've helped some guidlies in doing some vanquishing and a couple of missions.
However the unbalance due to 50% recharge and such and charr who can move at lightspeed it's gotten to gimmicky again. I don't really enjoy hard mode as I expected to, but in fact am enjoying playing normal mode more again since HM. Why? It may not be as challenging but it is fun again.
But then nobody is forcing me to play HM so let those who want enjoy it and I will use it from time to time to get some items or lb points.

Before I heard about HM i was going to rescrape areas to get granmaster cartographer but with vanquishing titles i decieded to wait for HM to rescrape. So now i am 16/34 in elona vanquished and completed my grandmaster title. Also doing guardian title to gain skill points to have for when the new elites come out with GW: EN.

I haven't been playing HM because every time I try, it's been too hard to get a group together. I only have 1-2 hours to play, and it's not worth it to me to spend 45 minutes of that spamming "LFG for HM."
To fix this, I wonder if ANet could start a "Hard Mode" Disctrict in each town/outpost. Then I could go there, and if there's only 1 or 2 people standing around, switch back to NM.

I played the HM missions pretty enthusiastically but ran out of steam after countless defeats at Aurora Glade.
