GW on a stick

I just installed GW, and loaded the full 2.7GB DAT file, onto a 4GB flash drive and have been playing on my slower, 1.8GHz single-core desktop to see what would happen (on a USB 2.0 port, of course). As it turns out, I seem to actually get better performance and can see where the game is getting bottlenecked in the CPU. This, of course, was inspired by my desire to actually play on my desktop while I wait for my 3.0GHz processor to come in.

Has anyone else tried this? Any different or better results?

My friend used his iPod to test GW's portability and it turns out it's quite portable. Performance isn't as good as if it was on a HDD but it's playable well enough.

I used to have GW on my watch (with 2 gig memory ), but now the game's too large.
