does elite tomes drop from noob island bosses

ok so have beeen farming this one monk boss out side blacktide den got his green 5 times in a our 3 uw scrolls and other crap but no tome non or elite... just wonder if anyone knows if they drop at all in hard mode on noob islands

yes they can drop anywhere in Hard Mode. This should also be in the questions and answers section of the forums.

hard mode mobs are all at least lv 22+, therefore i don't see how it can be easier to kill thus no tomes. I think it's actually harder due to party size being smaller.

This is so very true. You can't get the diversity of professions in a 4-man group as you can in an 8-man group.

On-topic. Yes they do drop. [wiki]Baozo Evilbranch[/wiki] was good enough to drop me an Elite Mesmer Tome.

unless of course you go solo party size does not matter for that.
if i remember correctly tomes were not included in the 'loot scaling to party size'

sorry well stillno tome killed him like 60 times got his green 13 times lol and uw scrolls 18 and a 14 gold weapons but no scroll

just dont get it my friend is still going to go at it im changing to another boss he has done 40 runs got the green 8 times 10 uw scrolls and 4 golds no tome yet either

I haven't encountered any, but it doesn't mean they aren't there.

The only boss I've killed repeatedly on Shing Jea is Tahkayun Tsi...

They can drop tomes, just like any other bosses but the overall rare tome drop rate seems to be very low.
In several runs of perhaps killing 24 bosses i got 5 greens and 1 elite monk tome.

Wait, i tought only bosses with elites can drop elite tome... And starter island bosses dont have elite skill, i did that assa boss outside Ran Musu and no tome, ever...

i got an elite dervish tomb from that water djiin boss out fanar city (SP)

If a boss is near a chest they're more likely to drop an elite tome I find. Not sure which are the best for farming yet.

I wonder what would happened if HM were introduced in Pre-Searing?

Not so, every boss in Tyria that lacks an elite skill will not have one in HM. If you think about it, you'll realize why.

I killed an Assassin boss on Shing Jea and got an Assassin tome before.

Elite tome or normal? Not all bosses on hard mode have elite skill, and i think that they can't drop elite. Can anyone confirm this or deny it, but with some evidence?

This being just one of the posts I noticed, I believe he stated blacktide den. Last I knew no matter what door you got out of you can have a full 8 party group from this outpost. Just kinda curious where smaller groups came into play in the original thread discussion.

You cannot cap anything that you couldn't before, but most of them use an elite skill though. And Even if you cannot cap them they can still drop a tome
