My game was working just fine for months on end, until one day during an update, even after one hour it wouldn't connect to arenanet.

So i decided to uninstall, delete previous files and reinstall, except now i can't even reinstall it since it can't fully connect. For some reason, it always stops right when it's almost done with disk 1

Please assist! This has been my 10 try now, and i have no idea what is wrong!

Check if teatimer.exe is running in the task manager, if it is, end that process and try installing.

I just checked and no such process is active....man, this is driving me nuts. It's been months since it started and I really need to check in on things

Check your firewall and try to fully uninstall the game using safe mode and clean the registry key.

Most likely, i think your firewall is blocking the connection. If nothing is wrong, call your isp and have them to check the connection for you.

You can do a traceroute to check if you can receive any packets from the gw server.

Try the gw client from guildwars.com? Maybe using a brand new client helps?

You can also add -diag to your GW shortcut's command line, and check to see if you're able to connect, according to the log, with any of Anet's servers. Might give you, or us here, an idea of what's going on.
