ecto price drop

I am sure this has been discussed elsewhere and I did searches but found nothing. And it is something that has bothering me for a couple of days now.

Why has ecto dropped so much? One of the updates mess with the farming of it? More people doing it? I thought when it was 9k at trader that was thought to be cheap, but now it is down even more. Just angry because it has dropped my net worth substantially and is probably messing royally with the rest of the market.

Basic answer, Ecto's are more accessible now, which means less demand. On top of that people are selling off their assets before prices' drop to far, thus increasing supply.

Dont worry, they wont drop more or much more anyway.

If they drop price to a point it becames pointless to farm them, less people will farm them, and more people will go for obsidian armors, wich will increase the demand and make prices go higher.

The correction in price they suffered was caused by 2 things.

1st, the open uw/fow weekend event inflated the prices as scores of asians went for their obsidian armors they could never get since they hardly have favor, and bought ectos like crazy.

2nd, the change in farming made gold become harder to farm, that generated an urge to sell ectos for gold, decreasing the prices.

Ecto's drop price when the traders drop price. Now that hard mode is here ectos are easier to get. So instead of selling the ectos to players and keeping the trader prices up, they go for the quick money and sell them to the trader.
