Hi all

Just curious as to where the best place would be for gaining sunspear points at my level? i'm currently a sunpear castellan with just under 8,000 sunspear points, the usual place i go to gain points is the holdings of chokhin, just past mihanu township, now when i go there the scouts dont give me any tasks...

So wheres the best place to gain more points? done most of the quests.

thanks,

Nick

If you like where you're farming now, just switch to hard mode and keep farming for them there.
They'll give you the bounties again.

Go to Gates of Desolation, exit into Sulfurous wastes (in hard mode), talk to the bounty guy and then use a Junudu Wurm to farm the groups there.

After you hit rank 7 you cannot recieve bounties anywhere in normal mode. Once you finish the game and try hard mode, the bounties will again be available for every area in hard mode. Then it'll take you at most a few hours to get maxed sunspear rank.

Just to elaborate on that. Go south west once you enter Sulfurous Wastes through a canyon and down the west side of the map to a rit boss. You never have to leave your wurm and you get an extra 200 points from killing the boss. There is another undead boss but it is slower and you have to leave your wurm momentarily, cross some rocks, re-enter and then get to the boss.

Or... if you do have access to hard mode, you can start from The Remains of Sahalaja, take the undead bounty, head south go and get the margonite bounty, go further south curl round towards the temple where the 'Show of Force' quest would normally take you. Then take out the undead there, curl back again.. head east and get to the aforementioned rocks, get the mandragor bounty then double back and go north. Take out the undead on the way, avoid the elementals till you get near to the Hajkor's Mystic Flame boss group. Pick up the ele bounty... then kill everything on the map.

That should net you somewhere in the region of 1,000 SS points + 320 LB points per run (approx). Takes me about 35 mins to do that and I've gone from 8,000 to 38,000 in just over a week.

Yeh. It's boring. Really boring, but ridiculously easy as you only encounter one mandragor group outside of a worm and if you're not too fussed about the LB points just ignore any margonites that are on rocks. Or use Junundu Siege to break them down then finish them off on foot.

If you still have Show of Force active then you can get another 450 LB points from activating the first shrine on the right as you enter the Temple of the Monoliths. It spawns 3 Margonite bosses, and as long as you have killed 25 margonites before you get to them, then you will get an extra 150 per boss kill. As long as you don't click on all of the shrines, the quest will stay active. If you do, just abandon the quest and reaquire it.

If you don't have it, find a friend/guildie who does and go with them. Makes the run much more efficient for point farming.

Absolutely the best place I have found for Hard Mode Spearmarshall and Lightbringer points farming. If you are working on Wisdom and Treasure Hunter as well, buy a bunch of lockpicks as their are usually a half-dozen chests around and my luck has been that they are pretty consistently gold. As a worm it is almost impossible for your party to get wiped, but it is mind-numbingly boring.
