You never see bosses using or holding Greens they drop! Why not?

Just something I've noticed, which isnt a huge deal, but it would make aquiring greens and/or fighting bosses a bit more interesting.

In the 18 months i've played, I dont remember a single boss ever carrying or using a green weapon which they drop.

Obviously if the boss doesnt have hands, then it makes sense. But those who are humanoid or have hands would look better if they were seen to actually hold their own green weapons and use them while attacking.

I could be wrong, and maybe I havent paid enough attention, but ive never seen them use them. Imagine seeing Rago Kindlerock holding his Flame staff or Flame wand! How much cooler would that look.

The only issue I see is if a creature drops more then one type (i.e a staff and a wand). Which should they be seen using? Maybe the better looking one, or maybe randomise it.

Just an idea! Seems to make sense to me! You could also use screen-caps off bosses holding their greens for web-sites like guildwiki.net when showing green weapons.

It would look alot cooler.

[edit]

Hmm I think that odd few do show theirs, such as warrior or Sin bosses who obviously have to brand a sword. But not most.

I know at least Sskai is holding his own sword.

They used to wield their green weapons when they had it in their inventory to drop it later. This allowed for very easy farmruns, just repeatedly zoning in, running up and having a quick glance at the weapon in the hand of the boss.
Then either fight him or leave him.
Was a reliable way to avoid the anti bot code. And because the anti bot code was only geared against botters, they removed the function of seeing the weapon as a player.

Lies! While I was farming Milthurans staff I knew when he will drop because when he takes out caster weapon he will take out his staff!

And I agree with Kas!

So basically, if you see them using it, then their going to drop it?

^ Don't know about that, but I think if they drop it then they've been holding it.

Don't say never. I see the bosses holding their greens sometimes. But it doesn't mean they're going to drop them if you see them holding ones.

This can't be right.... for example, ruby Djinns have dragon swords, and never drop any.

I know from back when I used to farm SF you could at least see Drago's bow. Pretty sure you could tell the Yakslapper too.

Screenshot? Its not exactly a collosal scimitar or anything. I'd believe him.

Anyway, yes bosses (well many of them) DO carry their weapon. In fact, you could tell which of the 3 green items each SF boss would drop by looking to see which one he was holding. Of course, that doesn't neccessarily mean the item will drop (the thing could drop and be assigned to a henchman for example).

I think it all depends on luck? I mean if you are lucky, you might get the green item even if the bosses isn't holding it.

"meh, it all depends"...at least that's how I see it. Some bosses, like Shak-Jarin, or Sskai for example, hold their weapon often. Others switch out another weapon for it. That doesn't mean they drop it just as often. Granted, the time Shak-Jarin dropped his sword for me he was indeed holding it, but doesnt he almost always/always hold it? If thats the case, he should drop his sword every single time? I don't really see a noticible connection with that. I think whether they hold their weapon or not its totally random, as is whether they drop it or not.

I remember farming for Drago's flatbow; and looking first to see if he had it in his hands.
