So, it's been a while since the introduction of the Guildwars Shop. We've got some skills we can purchase, character slots, the games them selves, etc.

But, where are the other items? I know not to long after the shop came out, Gaile came on this forum (and presumably others) to ask what items we would like to see with in it. I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything concerning the shop?

Also, I got a crazy new idea! A Chess set!

More GOOD weapons that are customized, so you can use them only on your self and heroes.. And you dont buy it in one package, you can choose one and one weapon.

The Store showed up prior to NF because I bought an extra slot. Gaile's poll appeared this year.

But let's see what ANet would be doing.

1. going through polls and deciding what they want to offer first.
2. getting prices and delivery schedules and editing list.
3. getting budget money allocated and deciding which items they will drop from list.
4. placing orders and awaiting delivery prior to posting in the Store.

Only been a couple of months since the poll. Be glad it's just corporate and not government.

Frankly, I think we're long overdue for real goods in the shop. I'm talking virtual goods in the Official Store, and real-world goods in a store that provides that sort of thing.

We've been looking at the options, and I'm hopeful we'll have something soon, in both regards. Of course, I was hopeful back in 2005, too...

One thing i would realy like to see is, that the shop accepts payments by paypal, not everyone owns a creditcard.

Gaile, what sort of shops would you have in mind to carry Real Goods in Real Shops? The only problem I see with it not being on the Guildwars Shop it self is that international players (IE: Those who might be in....Germany) wouldn't be able to get such items for a longer period then those in America or England.

I'd kinda like a chess set. Perhaps it could be between Ascalon and Kryta, Kormir and Abaddon/Varesh, the Deldrimor dwarves and the Stone Summit, Adelbern/Rurik and the Charr/Titans, Kurzicks and Luxons, the list could go on.

I love Guild Wars, don't get me wrong, but somehow having a paragon in my pants just doesn't seem right.

I'd love to have t-shirts with specific skill icons (and descriptions, perhaps) printed on the chest. I've been thinking about printing myself a Ritual Lord shirt for quite some time already. I love GW so I'd certainly love to buy some irl merchandise as well.

I would like to see the "real-world" goods available online and available to players world-wide as well.

I have personally SEEN a Death Nova FTW tee, and loved it! It was a home-made tee, but I would totally buy tees from GW! I want tee with one of my chars on it.

Some game stores sell merchandise like this, but usually it is the lame buttons/pins, that sort of thing. It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to get an online store for RL merchandise up and running, I would buy an apron with a Charr on it holding a spatula! Or coffee mugs with skill icons, the list could go on.....
