Farming Ettins in Hard Mode

Ettins in hardmode have gained one advantage, Earth shaker. I was wondering if anyone has yet to farm these guys in Hardmode as yet. I would assume your average Vwk Warrior would work. I'd like to know if they give any good drops, so if you have please tell me.

ettins itself aren't that hard
only the run from beetletun is, so I have to run up from Lions Arch

Why would you want to farm Ettins anyway?
Especially if you need to fight your way past other things to get to them?

Thats the reason people did "rune farming" aka ettin farming.

Ah the good old days.

ettins can be farmed in grps of 1-5 with a 55 SV necro they go down fast but as far as the drops are concerned i didnt see much differnce so i gave up and went back to soloing bosses

Ettins drops are nerfed so badly in the past that it isn't worth the effort to even farm them.

It was a sup vig paradise but now, it is an abandoned gold mine.

I tried doing them today with my 55 necro. He had just pretty much cleared most of North Kryta Province of the titans (hm of course). Earthshaker is really annoying since they're basically in groups of 3 - 4 and just earthshake one after the other so I wasn't able to get my prot spirit up again and thus died

Anyway imho I think titans are better if you're after runes. One one run after killing around 20 titans, 5 gold titan armours dropped for me

I don't think he was looking for runes from the ettins, back in the rune farming days they used to drop tons of tribal axes so with the advent of HM, max tribal axes anyone?
