Eye of the North- Length?

After thinking about it over and over again; I have to ask, how long will be the length of EotN in content wise? I know we have heard that it will have high-level dungeons, 3 acts, and even this recently:
Knowing it’s been in the works for what amounts to be a year or so. At least to my thinking they combined what was going to be chapter 4 premises, and the finality of the first GW in one small package. It feels that EotN will actually be much bigger then the previous chapters, minus the new professions. Even though it’s just an expansion does not mean there is a possibility that it will be any shorter then the previous campaigns. If this is true in some senses, how would you feel it being either longer or shorter then the previous chapters?

Longer or shorter, I'll be getting it, even if they only had the Hall of Monuments in it.

what ever guild wars comes out with im all in. This is the only game i play and care about playing. I prefer longer so it can occupy our time till GW2 comes out. But I have this feeling it won't be longer, because now they have hard mode and more grindy titles. Also supposedly they are allowing us to level our characters more in GWEN.
BTW, The only game that can take me away from GW is Kaos War if they end up doing no monthly fee, which may come out around when GW2 is released.

I've already invested enough time into it, might as well buy this next one. Nothing else to do.

Anyway....I'm guessing probably about the same length as Nightfall(maybe a little shorter). I mean, it is the end of GW1...I don't see them making a crappy expansion to end it. My elementary school music teacher always said, if you only hit two notes right, make sure it's the first and last....A-Net hit the first, so now let's see how the last note is.

So, to complete all, it will take lots of time. But, it will be pretty short if you focus on only one side.
Maybe there will be many parallel storyline running at the same time, adding to replay value and making you play the other camp to see the other story. In addition, we know for one, that they are going to add new story lore to GW and introduce new races. My wild guess would be that they make it optional to search deeper into the lore of the series. So, probably lots of optional quests on the backgroud and history of the new races in the game. And apparently, some people like those. So, that would make the game pretty long and interesting for them i guess. If you ain't interested in most of the lore, well, it would seem like pretty short game i would think.
Will I buy it? Probably, for the PvP skills, and if I feel bored, maybe PvE a bit.

As long as it's GW, I'll buy it. Even if all it had was the new heroes, skills, and hall of monuments, but no new story, I'd still buy it.
Swift Thief
I have a feeling that it would be longer than Factions.

i got the impression that it was a smaller game from somewhere. i dont care about the length, i recon it will still be great fun!
Now you mention it , it could be longer as it was also ment to be chapter 4.
There is no higher lvl cap in this like you said though, thats GW2.

I maybe wrong, but i thought I saw them say that they will give our Characters a chance to level beyond ,the current cap, in GWEN. I'm not sure where i saw it, i looked back at the last two interview with Gamespy and Gamespot and didn't see it. but I have this feeling I remember them stating it.
It's possible to increase the level cap but not have it effect your characters HP/Mana and attributes. The leveling can just be your characters number next to the name, with no new benefits.

My guess a tad bit longer than Factions. We can only guess cause noone really knows. I already preordered my copy of EOTN so i am set and ready to go

I think that mission-wise it will be shorter than a normal campaign. I think that repeatable content wise (read: player driven) it will be greater than the other three combined. Remember how Sorrow's Furnace ran and how the dungeon changed each quest, I think that is what we will get. I think reputation titles are going to mean more. I am guessing Asura Chess is going to be a PvP-type mini-game akin to the Guild Hall games that have been in the suggestion hopper for quite some time. So again repeatable player driven content.

They have to walk a fine line, trying to balance between quite a few needs. They need the game to keep us occupied until GW2. They need the game to be considered 'worth it' to retain and attract new customers. They need the game to please the folks who want a long story. Consequently, they need to please the short story folks too. They need to find a compromise for length that will please most people, yet make it worthwhile to take all our characters through the game... unless the HoM is right at the beginning.
Either way, need, want, whatever... of course I'm buying it!

I still don’t know maybe it will be longer in some senses. Actually I think because of it supposed higher difficulty it might just be longer, when it actually is not. However I still think the story itself might carry a large arch overall in choices mad by the player. I don’t think there will be an evil/good ending though.
