Interface with hero bars
Inger
Heres the deal, I just got nightfall a couple of weeks ago after playing mainly prophecies for over 8 months, which btw NF is awesome!
In any case I've got heroes and thus i naturally have all their controls open for 3 of them. The way I arrange my interface is I move my skill bar up, and slide in the 3 hero controls underneath. Thing is, whenever I don't use heroes in PuG groups or for areas that heroes can't handle my skill bar is floating up in the middle of no where.
I'm just wondering what kind of interface other ppl use maybe I could find a better way of organizing my interface so that I don't have my skills floating in the middle of no where when i'm not using my heroes.

Why don't you just flip them and put their skill bars on top of yours? Then when you don't use them, yours will be on the bottom of the screen.

Party menu on the left, hero panels on the right. That's what I do.

I do the opposite, heroes' on the left, party on the right. But that's just tastes.

Here is the way I do it. I love the things on the right. Its my info/action area. I have used it that way a long time. Upkeeps are small and run down the skill bar vertically. I'd probably have run the Hero panels down the left as well as others have mentioned, but then my middle screen felt too cramped. Wish we could modify their layout as well. I'd have made them vertical too.
Instead, I run them across the top. Normally the chat window, mission map and Hero panels arent all open at once - just did it for show. In a team its just the area on the right that is on.

I fit the heroes in on the right above my party window and below the minimap/compass.

Double post sorry

Here's mine.

I do mine this way. I would like the Heroes bars stuck on the bottom in a line up like they are on top, but their buff/condition/hex icons would become hidden if I do that.

well i considered putting it at the top but then I couldn't figure out where I would place my own status effects or the HP of targets.
I appreciate all the inputs however and I'll probably end up using an aspect from every interface shown

My heroes' skillbars are only visible when I need them to be. I have keys mapped to be able to quickly pop them open...do what I need then close when I am done.....same with the pet windows.

What is it you have to the right of your skill bar? The four icons.

Commander Ryker is correct. Specifically, they are the shortcuts for guild list, friend list, inventory, and log off. You can put them on your interface by opening the menu, clicking on the one you want, and dragging it onto your interface.

Kuldebar Valiturus, I created a UI that is very similar to urs but i'm running into 1 key problem. After I've moved everythign when i try to play, a good portion of my character is within the text box and the target box. Like, the interface appears to be centre around my character's head and thus the body is within some of the menus.
Is there a way to centre the interface so that it shifts downward below my character?

I kinda tossed the heroes on the left as an afterthought. I can't very well change my UI to suit them now as I've been playing with this ui since beta.
They're not hard to work with, though.

I SO want to be able to edit the Hero Panels like we can the rest of the interface. It annoys me that we cant. I'm working with it fine as it is, mind you, but for all of us who have edited our interface to be a certain way, I wish we could edit the Hero Panel presentation to be in line with the rest of our UI theme.
Le sigh.
Fun to see everyone's UIs. I like this thread for that and hope to see more.

See, this is what I have and then what I wish for. It'd work for me. If we could rotate the panels, move the status indicators where we want, show/hide that name bar, possibly move a couple things around inside the panels - it'd be enough I think for most anyone to have it close to what they would like.
My base settings, and then one showing what I would like to do with panels.
