Horrible FPS with vista

After installing vista ultimate (32 bit), everything was working fine. until i started up GW. my FPS were lingering between 10-15. On XP, using the same hardware, i was between 50 and 60 constantly. any ideas? ive updated every driver i could think of, and directx and my bios

Have you -imaged, Firewall unblocked? And what is your graphic card?

It's vistia. I dual boot xp and vistia on the same pc. 90+ / 60 with vsynch on Xp. 60ish / 30 fps with vsynch on Vistia.

To get good game performance on Vistia, you should have dual core cpu, 2gb ram min, and a dx9 or dx10 video card with 512 mb ram or better.

A lot the hardware drivers for vista or still not on par yet.

no firewalls going, and im not sure of the -image thing you are talking about. currently im running a 7600gt pci-e, 2gb memory, and an amd x2 3800+

GW is not yet fully accommodated to Vista and stuff like this is to be expected. (from almost anything you try to run on that piece of... oh, sorry, I was just thinking out loud ^^; )

The best thing you can do is install XP as a second OS and run the game from there.

funny, i run 10/20FPS higher in GW through Vista than i did in XP...

Oh well

yeah i dont know whats up, i was expecting smoother game play, not half my FPS
