What are the Quest items for ?

First of all, i'm really new to the game, under a week.Playing Phophecies only. I tried searching for these topics and found nothing(more inexperience i'm sure). But did get a nice freebie from Tani's thread. thanks alot!!!
Anyways in my travels in pre-searing Ascalon i have found a few items and i'm wondering what they are for. They are:
a. small girls cape
b. devourer egg
c. beautiful pearl
d. (fine i think) feather

Any help at all would be great thanks.

They are all for different quests in Pre-Searing Ascalon. You give the small girls cape to gwen, the devourer egg can be used for 1 of 2 quests. It can be used for a quest called the wurm problem which Pitney gives you, or old mac is looking for one, you can give it to him. The beautiful pearl and the beautiful feather are part of the quest "a gift for althea" which can be done after listening to rurik talk to the gaurd outside of the gates of ascalon. (i forgot the gaurds name) After you have the quest, go give them to althea for your reward.

These items are all used for links and parts of different quests, something that will help you with virtually anything in guild wars and especially these kind of things are the following sites.

They work just like the popular wikipedia, and are updated constantly just search for the items and it will give you all the info you need

Remember to bookmark and I suggest using the first wiki because it is alot older and more resourceful atm

The guard is Captain Osiric (or similar). You can finish the gift for althea quest just by having one item and talking to her. The reward is the same.

Thanks so much for the help, and really quick responses. i guess i should buy that cape, and maybe that will get rid of gwen from following me.

Your best bet is to just ignore Gwen for now, it doesn't lead to anything, and will save you gold and effort

just talk to gwen again and when she says ill wait here, she is no longer following you.

a. small girls cape - this is for you to give to gwen, just like a flute to make her happy and heal you and help towards her giving u a shred

b. devourer egg - both of these are used for Quests, one quest you get from Devona i believe and the other is from the farmer after uve killed the Rogue bull in the mesmer quest. (the farmer walks to where the bull was and complains about his bull being killed with Athena)

c & d. beautiful pearl and Feather- These and the Beautiful pendant are for the quest from outside of Ascalon go stand near Rurik talking to a guard and when the've finished talking (takes a few min) then the quest will open, requiring u to give all 3 beautiful items to the guard.

To find out what Quests are, run around in the world of GuildWars. Do not be afraid, they won't hurt you for it. Oh wait, sometimes they do, but then you fight. Maybe you die, but dont worry, they ressurect you as well.

Talk to all NPC's with a '!' above their heads to start Quests.

You will use them in GW:EotN which will give you the elite skill 'Gwen' which wtfpwns everything in sight

The small girls cape is for the more camp players ingame. You can put it on and run around giggling like a little school girl, or pretend your superman saving Louise Lane from the evil Crawl.

Have you never seen people playing superhero ingame?

Now the devourer's egg. Break that up, mix in some Crawl meet, heat it over a bonfire and wait until its nice and hot. You make a lovely Crawl omlet.

The beautifull pearl is for the vain players (cough warriors). Watch out for the countless warriors, flexing their muscle in ascalon while they hold a giant perl infront of themselves.

The feather...... well that has something to do with bondage. Im not going into that one. It scared me for life!! Gwen has a pervy sexual appatite that no man can satisfy!

Shes older then she looks and she likes feathers!!!

Basically check out the Wiki, it has all the info you need. Just don't read the bits that have "Spoiler Warning" on it
