More Storage Space

ok.. this definitely needs more storage spaces.. WAY MORE. when i go "magic finding", i get lots of stuff, and many are useful to myself, and i usually sell the rest. normally i put the ID kit and salvage kits in storage so i can carry more items in missions. thats 2 spaces gone in storage, and once i come back from mission, i stock up storage with all the useful items. now i go do another mission. same thing as first one, except when i come back, storage has like 2 spaces available for the items i got from "magic finding". so we need more storage space

Agreed, we need more vault space, especially since it is shared across all characters. Don't mind if there's a cost associated with getting more space either.

Carry your ID kit and salvage kit with yoiu on missions, you'll actually notice the difference. I was in the same boat as you for a while until someone told me to carry them with me. When you refine dropped salvage gear, you open up a spot, because the resulting materials stack. If you get little cheapo items that sell for no more than 5 gold, just salvage them off too. The ID kit allows you to know exactly what it is you have there, so you can delegate spaces to rare items that you wish to sell later on to their own bag, and other items you wish to use to their own bag. I currently have a 10-slot bag with 8 weapons, 4 of which are customized to me, the other 4 are being sold. I keep 2 expert salvage kits and an ID kit with me, and I never really get into that 3rd bag unless I'm doing a long mission/series of quests.

I like that there isn't too much. Prevents me from being a pack-rat. I always try to carry an ID and salvage kit with me so that I can salvage crap items and stack them. I also use my bags and pouch, even though they aren't expanded. I find 35 spaces is plenty, and to reduce clutter I throw raw materials in the bags. If I find rare items, I also throw those in the extra bag so I don't accidentally salvage them.
You should see what happened when I was playing a game with [I think] infinitely expandable storage. It cost about double each time to expand it, but I had about 150 items sitting in it that were doing absolutely nothing. "Oh, maybe when I create a better character." "Oh, maybe when I get to forming a guild."
I say it's good to learn how to...I guess we ought to use this line again: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

I said this in another thread somewhere. The vault being used by all of your charactors is great so you can transfer items, but at the same time it just isn't big enough for all of the characters to share. I like to keep different types of armor and weapons for different situations, couple that with crafting items, and stuff for use on future chars or for guildmates and there just isn't enough room. I think a good solution would be if each character had their own vault and there was a seperate account based vault that could be accessed by all of the chars.

I'm sure part of that is to prevent Hoarding... And the Detestable marketing of items is part of the seedy underworld of all MMORPGs. its undesirable to have to go begging and pleading for items instead of going and questing for them like everyone else... Makes the game a waste.. if all you do is auction garbage constantly. if I do not use it, I salvage it. not matter what it is... even rare purple items.. MAYBE MAYBE... I'll give it to my guild members if it will help them but I certainly do not go brokering it allover the place to the highest bidder... Retail sales is bad enough in the real world. Most of them deserve to be shot dead in the streets... so doing it in a game is lunacy...

yes more storage space is needed...let us upgrade bags even further, and give us a bit more room in our storage account.

This guy hit the nail on the head, giving people more space will allow more "Hording" of items. Last night the WTS spam is insane... last thing we need is people doing nothing but selling crap all time.

talking about upgrading bag space, which area do you get the RUNE to upgrade bags and belt pouches?

I could be wrong, as my memory is a bit fuzzy at thisp point, but I believe Lion's Arch was the first opporunity to increase the space of bags from 5 to 10.

I wanted a 1 of every rune collection or something, but the hobby is gone now. Would've looked really cool if I did have that.

I think you need to understand that the limit on storage space is not arbitrary and is done with a specific rationale in regards to item availability and lifespan, just as with weapon customization.

Agreed. More storage space is needed NOW. That is one of the worst parts of this game IMO. If characters have linked storages, what the flip was going through the dev's minds?

IMO, they should have 1 storage for 1 character, and 1 storage for all characters on your account.

3 rows of my vault is materials. Other then that I just give stuff to guildies or salvage as far as it can go so I can stack.

Before assuming that they were simply being either retarded or petty, why don't you think about the possible intended effects of limiting player storage on the game world? Believe or not, they probably made a very careful decision here.

I have 2 characters now and I don't see any difference in the amount of free space from before I created that second character. I don't keep tons of weapons on-hand at a time, so I only need 2-3 extra character slots for them, and as I said before I rarely get into the 3rd bag with drop items, even without salvaging. 50% of late-game drops are gold, as opposed to only 25% in pre-searing and pre-Lion's Arch post-searing. That and you have larger parties that split the spoils. Once you get later on in the game, there seems to be too much storage, at least in my view.

Those in favor of more storage space must be the D2 pack ratz that horded so much stuff you didn't even need, nor were willing to trade off for anything! Now you come into this game, crying like little kids in kindercare, begging for more storage space, so you can continue your sick, twisted, mentally derranged, hording addiction!? How in the world are you running out of space!? Each item, only takes one space, aside from the one's that are stackable. Ha! I hope the GW devolopers catch on real quick to your plan! In fact I'm going to send them a certified letter telling them to reduce the storage space by 5 spaces! Muhaaahahaa! Oooo...doesn't that make you burn inside?!?! Good...
