Shing Jea from Elona/Tyria?

Can you get to Shing Jea with a character which started out in Prophecies or Nightfall?

Cause I had heard from a lot of people you can only get as far as Seitung Harbor, and you couldn't get to any areas in Factions before the Harbor..

But now I've seen D/'s and P/'s in Minister's Estate, Shing Jea Monastery etc.
And people are also saying you can get there with a Nightfall/Prophecies character... while others are saying no..

So I would like to know whether you can get there.. and how? Because I've tried all I could, but I couldn't get any further..

Yes, you can take foreign characters to the island by going to Kaineng Docks from The Marketplace and talking to First Mate Xiang. He will transport them to Seitung Harbor, where they will have all gates on the island open to them.

If you couldn't bring foreign characters to the island, then how would you get their precious Protector of Cantha title?

I'm Tyria 'born' and i have starter isle so it is possible but i can't help on how sorry

Basically that, except when you get to Seitung, go through Saoshang Trail to Shing Jea

Well, yeah. I said all the gates are open. But you're right, I didn't actually ANSWER the immediate question directly.

Yes, you can reach the Monastery on Tyrian/Elonian characters by walking up Saoshang Trail.

Hmmm.. wel when I tried to find a way out with my Elonian character, the gate to Saoshang Trail was closed.. has it changed or is there somoene you have to talk to..?

Okay, I just got to Shing Jea on one of my Tyrian Characters, who hasn't even done Vizunah Square yet. In Seitung Harbor, I went to Saoshang Trail and made my way up to Linnok Courtyard where I found the gate open. I entered, and then proceeded into Shing Jea Monastery.

Are you sure you aren't trying to enter Zen Daijun (Explorable), which is at the EAST end of Seitung Harbor and is closed off by a gate?

I doubt I was trying the Zen Daijun gate.. but anyway.. I tried it out now and it's open
