Skill hunter

Okay, here's an interesting question. Suppose you only have the Nightfall campaign. Is it possible to max out the Elonian skill hunter title, given the fact that you don't have access to the Assassin or Ritualist professions. Can you take them as a secondary in the Command Post without having access to factions?
Enko
you should be able to take them as secondaries in the command post. if not there, then definitely at great temple of balth.

Is there anyone who only has Nightfall and would care to test this? Sorry, I'm very curious about this.

I have Prophecies and Nightfall and they don't even list the option of changing to a rit or ass secondary.
Don't know about the Temple of Balth tho.

It has been my guildie's experience that you cannot unlock a secondary unless you own the chapter for it (he hadn't gotten Factions yet). I hope that it's been fixed since then for your sake though. Anet wants to make the titles associated with a chapter doable, so I'd say it should be but...

Exactly the point I'm trying to make. This is why I want to be sure. So if anyone who owns Nightfall but not Factions could get a screenshot of both the changer in Command Post and the Great temple confirming that you can't change your secondary to Ritualist or Assassin, then I will post this in the Bugs forum.

That was before the title split I should point out however, so it may have been corrected.

If you can't change your secondary to assassin and ritualist, you can still unlock the skills with balthazar faction and use elite tomes.
EDIT: ahh, I thought you could unlock skills form tomes no matter what profession combo you had, ignore this.

Luna Star
elite tomes only work on primary prof for it.
dargon
or secondary, you just have to have the profession of the tome at the time you use it.

I would really like it if someone could post a screenshot of the profession changer. Pretty please, with candy on top?

darkk wound
if you only have nightfall you CANNOT use assassin or ritu skills end of disscussion.
i would say you can still max skill hunter title for nightfall, why not take the risk and start capping the skills to find out for yourself its only 90k gold thats nothing

I don't know why the OP wanted SS, as if we'd just make it up, but there's over 100 elites in Elona and the Rit and Assassin ones are Nightfall exclusive, at least they are listed that way on the official wiki.

Okay... allow me to explain the point I'm trying to make in greater detail. Before I start, no, I do not know why I even care about this except that I'm bored and I need something to take up my time.
First of all, thank you Smile for posting the screenshots. Now, the skill hunter title states that you will gain [Continent] elite skill hunter when you capture all of that continent's elite skills. The Elona skill hunter is for the 141 elites that are in Elona. This is including the 30 core skills. That means there are 111 elite skills that are exclusive to the Nightfall campaign. Of those 111 skills, 10 of them are Assassin skills and 10 of them are Ritualist skills. If you do not own the Factions campaign, it will not let you take Assassin or Ritualist as a secondary. Therefore the title is impossible to max without Factions. As I recall, Arenanet wanted all the titles associated with a campaign to be able to be maxed out REGARDLESS of if you owned the other campaigns or not. This is an oversite, and part of human nature is to find mistakes and correct them. Does this make a little more sense?

Oh, I'm well aware of this problem.
My girlfriend decided to max as many titles as she could and the skill hunters were her first choice. I joined her with my ele and after capping all in Tyria and half of Elona I pointed out to her (I had already known, but I had the cash to blow) that I couldn't possibly max the Elonian one.
So, I've known for a while. I actually thought about it when they first started talking about splitting the titles.
