Hello everyones, I don't really want to sound here as a newbie who just got a game and heard of term-farming, in fact I've finished all campaign(well mission left to finish NF) with various characters, and now being ele in NF and hearing all those fancy build (E/Mo UW Solo, E/A Green solo, E/A Tomb of Primeval Kings..) they all look great and can't wait to try them, but gear (weapons, icons..) is just expensive, and that's why I need some way of doing cheap farms from which I can get few plats per run..

Infact I tried doing E/A, but the best item I got from boss was rare scroll..So that's not steady source of gold needed for better 20% ench + energy staff..

Perhaps should I get myself into chest runs?

So any fast farming build will help, if possible in NF!
Thanks in further!

My advice - start slow and be prepared to invest time to get money. I made quite a bit hydra farming out of Augury Rock as an earth ele with Mantra of Flame from mesmer secondary. I'm sure there is a build somewhere around if you search for it.

Best of luck

Earth farming all the way. I prefer Slivernewal to Stone Striker or E/A, for its versatility, but Stone Striker/Mantra of Earth is potentially faster where it does work, because you have the elite slot for damage (Glyph of Renewal on Sliver Armor, for instance).

You really don't need a staff with earth damage, and there are plenty of cheap +5 energy/20% enchantment extending staffs for oother attributes. You also don't really need a full 20% on the enchantment mod; 19% or even less works fine. And when-enchanted shields can be had from collectors.

Or if you have the reflexes to actually make one of the Mist Armor/Meteor Shower builds work, more power to you.

Permanent Obsidian Flesh works great too, and not just on casters with wands any more if you mix in Stone Striker. Or so I've heard; I hate playing it and hardly ever try.

If you want to know about which runs, etc., you're better off asking in the farming forums. Or just think of places that have neither a lot of healing nor a lot of enchantment stripping, and you'll probably have found ones that are profitable to farm in hard mode.

I suggest you farm the magic chest of easy gold. Its the reason every single person in the game is rich, and farming builds don't exist.
Sigh.

I'd just stick with E/A green farming. There's a smiter monk boss in RoT, forget the name, but you can kill him for elite monk tomes (10-15k), scrolls (3k), and he also drops a nice staff that you can sell. Or Hajkor, he drops a nice green that goes ~10-15k.
If you want a cheap staff get a Kephet's Refuge, it's +15e and +20% enchanting and only costs ~2-5k. Damage doesn't really matter as you aren't wanding things dead.

Thanks for everyone's suggestion, they surely help!

I've got complete gear for E/A..For weapon I'm using Totem Axe (20% ench) + Earth Scroll(energy +12, HP +30, Energy Magic +1).

I have one question about green solo build, even tho I managed to kill few of them, at some bosses when there are little foes standing around him, I find it hard to kill him..Energy's not a problem, Shadow Form is.I find that 17 sec is no way to kill him in that specific situation..Am I missing something or that's just how the build works (ie find enemy with a lot of foes around him)?

Thanks in further!

well, for an ele the shadow form time isnt the greatest.... use glyph of elemental power, sliver armor. and remember, for any boss. you using sliver armor, the more ppl around him, the better. thats a lot more damage going towards the boss. i can farm orosen with my 55 monk using goep and sliver armor. i just be sure to agro every single mob around him.
