Where are the best places to use lockpicks?
I have broken 5/5 lockpicks since the Lucky Weekend has started.
Anyone have some good areas to use lockpicks to help boost the Lucky title.

Old Ascalon, Sunqua Vale, Plains of Jarin. Normal mode...

Take note of the percentage chance of lockpick survival in different chests.

Personally I got for Vabbi/Desolation, but I also want treasure hunter points *and* decent loot from a chest.

Thnx, i was doing DOA on Hardmode.
Also wiki says discounted keys have a discounted rate to retain the key, so i have been paying full price for my keys.
Im just looking to boost the Lucky Title, wich all 8 of my guys is at the bottom of the title list.

Discounted lockpics are the same lockpicks you buy for the normal price. They just have a different (better) chance to break even.

Unless im not understanding correctly, i thought a higher priced lockpick had a better chance to retain the lockpick?

If you purchase your lockpicks from a Discount Merchant, the base price of lockpicks goes down to 1200g per key, resulting in a substantial lowering of survival chance needed to break even. Discounted lockpicks will have a better value than discounted keys only if the regular priced lockpick had a better value than the regular priced key. -wiki-

I have noticed that the lucky/unlucky totals aply to all characters, where as Wisdom and Treasure Hunter are character specific. So it might be better to farm Lucky points with your best Wisdom/Treasure character. Also all Hard Mode chests are *High-end* chests, but im not having any luck retaining lockpicks on hard mode. This is turning out to be the most expensive weekend event ever. Im just wondering if the 50k i have invested already is going to greatly effect my loot table.

if you just want to work on lucky/unlucky titles...i would suggest doing the low end chests in areas like ascalon and the other newbie areas in normal mode...if you want a combo ....decent chance at loot and decent chance at retaining the keys...then go for the higher end chests...vabbi...shiverpeak..miner chests...margonite...etc etc...basically anything over 600g....this also works towards your CR title....just my opinion...but you need to decide what exactly you are expecting out of this weekend...

Man, i just had 5 in a row break in plains of Jarin on normal mode, durring lucky weekend, go figure. At this rate its going to cost me 100k to get my first Lucky title.

Is there any way to hold down alt permantly? My hand is killing me.

Where/how can I buy discounted lockpicks?

I have factions and have beat it, and am part of a luxon guild, and have been to the Luxon cities where there are supposedly "Discount Merchants" but i can't find them. Am I just blind?

get a drywall screw or a wood screw then press the alt key down then twist the screw between the windows key or the bottom edge of the keyboard and the alt key (only go one or two twists just till it holds if you go in too deep you risk damaging your keyboard)

Your alliance has to control a town...then buy them from the merch in the exclusive area (that merch allowed to be visited by alliance members only);

If you don't control a town, most that do control one sell the lockpicks for 1250g each, since they only pay 1200g each from the discount merch...

Can someone clarify wether its better to use Full price keys, or discounted keys?

Another 10k lucky, and im off to Hard Mode for Treasure Hunter Title.
This is not a Title you Acheive with a new character.
Anyone else having better luck?

I left GW after the release of Factions, came back with Nightfall. So im still figuring out what these 100 new titles mean. What i have learned is you dont want to try this with a new character like my Rit just did. All keys were bought at 1500g, and my unlucky bar is 2/3 full.

Question, now that i have my 1st lucky title, what is my best option to boost my treasure hunter title, without making my unlucky title exceed my lucky title? And what is going to happen to if my unlucky title does exceed my lucky title?
