Eastern Frontier hard mode
riddik darksky
has anyone cleared here in hard mode yet? i;ve tried for the last few days with no success. either my builds are too defensive or too offensive. so just wondering if anyone has a build they would like to share that they used to clear it.

I've got a couple guildies that have done it. One of whom did a marathon of vanquishing, starting from ToA so they could have an 8 man party.

I started my vanquishing run in ascalon and moved west so I did easternearly on.
The the mind sparks, chaots, and ashen clas are what make it hard. Lingering Curse is no joke for your healer. A mesmer hero with seies anti hex setup helped us to barely notice the hexs. (Hex eater vortex, hex breaker, inspired, revealed hex, drain enchantment, inspired enchantment. Make the grawl ulodytes aura of faith work for you.)
As for the grawl. There serious healing can be negated with an olias using a build designed to limit healing.
I as a warrior took dismember.
Olias brought epidemic, defile flesh, insidious prasite, price of failure, drain enchantment, enfeeble, Spitefull Spirit, and a BR for our healer.
Spare skill slots were devoted to res skills and other damae dealing spells.
I just offer this as a tip. I vanquished this zone a while ago so I dont remember exact builds.
My monk (human) may have been using a prot/divert hexes build.
Cant remember as thats when we started hanging up our standard pve bulds quite a bit.

Did this with 3 guildies. They were all using their primary characters, so we had to come up with a build for 2 mesmers, 1 ele and 1 monk. The Ele did an Obsidian Flesh Earth tanking build. She took almost 0 damage. We had an MoR Diversion, Backfire, Empathy mesmer. The other mesmer was a Dual Attune Fire Nuker.
We left from Surmia because the Grawl are the hardest part, so best to fight them first. It was slow going to kill the 2 Uglodyte groups, but they dropped eventually. Just need to pull carefully. Once we got to the charr, things were super easy. Could take up to about 10 charr at a time.
