I'm new and I can't figure out how to get rid this crappy pet cause I'm doin the "becoming a ranger quest". Someone plz help.

if you're still in pre-searing (the quest makes it sound like you are...although I could be wrong) there is a Pet Tamer in Regent Valley, right next to Master Ranger Nente.
