Character Order on Log in Screen

I remember when the option of ordering your characters first came out. None of mine actually moved around. I got used to the ordering of my chars. So much so that I could remember who I was on last and use the arrow keys to navigate to who I wanted to play and hit enter before the screen fully loaded.

I just logged on and they've completely moved around. Not one of them is in the same spot that they used to be. I don't really have a problem with this, but it seems very sudden. So, I was wondering if anyone knew what happened or if it's happened to them?

The same thing happened to me a few months back, I thought it a bit odd. But it didn't really affect my game to much becuase I select them with the mouse. It's a bit annoying though, I had them in the order I wanted them to be in!

It's happened to me multiple times.

I asked Anet about it, and they didn't do anything.

Funny though, the day after the last time I complained, the ordering by alphabet was introduced.

Still it doesn't let me order them the way I want them...

I think it would be best for you to just pick one of the two non-random options, since they aren't prone to re-arranging for no reason. That option isn't called random for nothing.

Doesn't the sorting option reset itself every time you log out? Or have they fixed that now?
Either way, I'll get used to the new order eventually.
