How freaking hard is for a-net to go to a popular farm spot like bergen hot springs and so forth and ban some bots. It would take what...all of ten secs to round up like a 100 bots per spot. Seriously bots are screwing over real players and have been for a while...its a real problem. Just venting here but i mean seriously its ridiculous and its not all that subtle AT ALL. hmm that monk is guildless....and moves in a halting pattern like its following a program...hmmmm what could be going on? k. My question here is does a-net even have a department or anybody (thing) even trying to stop bots?

If you spot a bot or suspect one, report it to a.net.
And yes, they do have an abuse department that takes these things rather seriously - but they need our (the players) help to work more effectively - the GM's cannot be everywhere at once.

If you see a bot, or someone offering ingame stuff (items, cash, accounts, etc) for real money, report them via the support system - they will deal with it ASAP.
(I reported some twat selling GW gold fro cash and got a GM response within ten minutes of the report)

Notice you will not be told of any consequences (due to the privacy policy, which is also there to protect YOU), but they DO take it seriously.

Reporting violations is easy to do in the support system; take a moment and help keep GW clean of undesirables

Say, is there an in-game command to report something? Or do you have to get on the support page for that?

You have to log onto the support system to do this.

The process takes a few minutes of your time - but it saves HOURS of frustration at seeing people/bots/id10ts abuse the game for their own gain.

What I do (and this is also in the guideline for reporting violations) is to give the following information

- Location
- District
- Time (as precise as possible)

plus a short description, preferably including a screenshot (if possible) of what you think is considered a violation (such as chat lines from people "selling GW money/items" or "selling runescape accounts") and send it off.

Category: Rules and Policies
Department: Violation Report

and the rest of the data speaks for itself.

They're pretty prompt with replying, even if it is just a form email (given the volume of reports they must process I can understand why) - but your issue WILL be looked at and taken seriously.
