PvP Editions: Extra Character slots?

Hi All,

I've been looking for the answer to the question in the Title, but couldn't find it anywhere. So when you buy a PvP edition of a campaign, in addition to unlocking the skills for PvP (and heroes I think - correct me if I'm wrong) do you get new character slots? And if so, can you also use them for new PvE characters?
