lol. are you mad cause you cant farm UW? there are tons of NON-BOT players that constantly farm UW. i am one of them and farm it every chance i get. usually people that cant do anything in the game usually give the "it's cause of the bots" excuse. yes bots are here and what their effect is on the game wont go away but their numbers are relatively very low compared to real players so blaming any problem on a bot is quite juvenile at best.

:rolls eyes:
Here's a lesson in economics.
Ecto price only spiked up as high as it did at the release of NF. Prior to that, ecto was always around 6-7k. It's not the end of the world (nor is it ruining the economy). What ruins the economy is massive inflation caused by a constant influx of gold, which is not what occurs with ectos since ectos have no real "value" except at the trader. The reason ectos are valuable is because somebody buys them as the bots and farmers sell them. Thus, farming UW does NOT introduce a large portion of gold into the economy, it merely transfers wealth over from one set of players to another. The ecto price drops accordingly when supply outstrips demand (if ecto price didn't change, then there WOULD be massive inflation).
Bots used to cause mass inflation by farming trolls, elona reach, etc. and just increasing the amount of gold in the economy to an obscene level. Note, that this did occur in UW farming as well, but now that there is loot scaling, bots have become far less effective.
Your idea of "ruining the economy" is caused because GW item prices were previously very inflated. Now the bubble has burst and prices are aligning with their actual value again.

actually ecto bot farming would create an influx of gold into the economy since they're selling it back to the rare materials trader for gold. price is dropping at the merchant since ectos are being sold back to the trader faster than people are buying them from the trader. if the bots and farmers were only selling to other people, then the ecto price at the trader wouldn't be changing.
