Well to put it short - i'm getting owned (as in.. Owned) by the corsair bosses, all except the paragon, has anyone got any tips?. My main is Spear Paragon at the moment, went for damage because it's needed there.. Here's some moments i've had in there, just skip this if it's boring.

The mesmer boss is 50/50 but usually we end up killing only ourselfs, sometimes it goes so badly that nothing dies except us :O. Mind Wracks.. for everyone!. Granted, i've beaten him but not without deaths. I know, i should probably bring my own monk heroes instead.. but.. i like to use Ranger with Winter because of the endless burning they're using, gah.

Warrior boss.. well this guy hit me with Counterattack for 214 - twice in one second. I've beaten him too but most of us had to use our rez. sigs with high DP.. I tried to do Hit & Run attacks today but it wont work that well.. "You're all alone!".. pretty much ends it.

Ritualist boss.. uh uh. Not that he does anything to harm us directly, but his troops turn almost invulnerable and.. totally clueless how can i win him .

Dervish boss is just one-shotting anyone with DP. I was hit for around 400 and then around 200! by a normal Weaponmaster, yay. Then the Boss started to camp the shrine for some easy kills . Btw, also i want to say that once we were shrine camped by two bosses and their gang.
Ritualist & Dervish, that was brutal. -.-

Okay, i'm done sorry about the long post. So.. how have you guys beaten this area?

Yes, thanks . I just happened to beat that area, finally!. I dont know if i did anything different though, except, i capped Stunning Strike before i went in. That pretty much was the key to victory. For heroes i used a warrior/ranger/hex smiter with prot. monk (yeah i know, its wierd!).

I also had to use Balthazar statue for some buffs. We were wiped again by the Dervish boss, like 4 times though because he started to camp that nearby shrine, again . Escaped to Rebuff and beat him to the ground. As for boss difficulty, depends what kind of group they spawn with if you're really unlucky like i was, the mesmer boss spawns with three Mind Readers, Doctor, Grappler , Weapons Master, Admiral :P.

@Patrick Smit: Yeah i forgot to mention, i had Greater Conf. with us too this time, at first i only wanted to stop Wind Masters (immolate + steam). Mind Readers use resurrection signets, just a tip for anyone going in there. Once the Mesmer Boss used a resurrection signet too.. At least i'm done with that area now, great fun though.

winter doesnt help against burning, it only works well if u bring greater conflageration as well, and all use mantra of frost.

I have to admit that the doctors there do a great job. We had less trouble clearing FoW in hard mode than clearing Barbarous shore, but maybe the build we used was just not suitable.

Slow him, blind him, or hex him, iuse BHA rangers or anti cast mesmers on casters and supress the biggest threats first, in the case of mind wrack you could opt to supress the doctor, and focus on killing the boss. Make sure to bring some decent anti hex too, and put healers to avoid so they dont wand themselves to 0 energy.

That area is easier if you approach from the other direction. In that little valley area several Kournan bosses. If you approach the other way and pull everything, you should have less dp by the time you reach those two bosses. If you fight from the other side, you won't have to fight multiple bosses at once, and since you'll be pulling like mad you won't risk activating that annoying rez shrine.

Also, be sure to abandon all quests in the area as they'll generate more enemies. I think there's one quest that generates an extra boss that guards some sort of quest item.
