questions (travelling in other campaign, titles, how to kill Lich)

1. I have a nightfall char and 1 month ago i travelled to LA via Isle of warriors i think, anyway i cant see any primary quest there in Prophecies... and for a non-primary quest the objective is to deliver the setll. stronbox (i forgot exactly the name) but i dont have a thing like that (prolly i had but i lost it). So what im doing about the primary quest? In all town i know are no missions too.

2. If im farming in hard mode in kourna what title should i activate, sunspear or lightbringer? The sunspear titles give powers against some creatures? and i dont see yet in hard mode (in normal either) lightbringer bounties... These appear random or are only in some places?

3. Im a runner of Gate of madness (isnt this hardest mission in the all games? i know only nightfall good) and i have problems to kill Lich fast (my party die sometimes bye Shiro while atacking Lich).

i saw some tips about Lich: "The Lich is relatively easy to kill. He is weak to holy damage, water damage, and to fire damage (50 AL vs fire). He will not withstand focused fire from the team. Take care as he can hit hard and has some area of effect damage."
This isnt true, he isnt easy to kill even if focused fire and even if im using holly damage or fire a lot. Note that i never failed these runs and i kill Shiro fast having hexes on heroes. So how can i kill Lich fast?...

1. See Mission overviews (Prophecies)

2. Doesn't matter. Lightbringer helps vs. demonic servants of Abbadon, such as Margonites and Torment Creatures. As long as you don't have certain quests active, you won't find any of those in Kourna. Sunspear doesn't do anything. The locations on where which bounty is given are fixed for each explorable area. If you farm one certain area and don't find LB bounties there, chances are that simply no such bounty is availible there.

3. Dunno, I never had problems with him. Just hit him hard with all you got and eventually he'll go down. He doesn't have notable defensive capabilities, after all.

But i dont see any primary quest or mission i said... in LA or Alessio. I have a flicker light on a town but there the guy who is suposed to give the mission have nothing for me

Thats the quest you want. The guy you recieve it from is Armen the Guide and can be found standing to the right of the first staircase near the entrance to Lions Arch.

Also, you may be a bit confused about how missions start. Delessio is a mission town. In NF, missions are started by talking to guys with the little green symbol mission symbol over there head. In Phrophecies and Factions, to enter a misison you just have to click the "enter mission" button (it should be at the bottom of your party window, right by the bottons where you can invite and kick henchmen/players).

In nightfall we have sunspear titles (useles anyway) and Lighbringer title (verry good giving power against foes), but in other campaigns we have some like that? i think we have different rewards and only in prophecies we can unlook many skills (i saw there skills as reward for quests), right?

There are no titles in Prophecies that function like Lightbringer or Sunspear. And you are right about Prophecies offering more skills as quest rewards, so be a little careful about buying skills from a Skill Trader because you might be able to get it for free. Also, I've found while doing that mission is that Shiro is much easier to aggro than the Lich. So I'll aggro Shiro first, pull him back to the entrance to the room and have my group engage him there. The Lich doesn't usually come back there and as long as you constantly do damage to Shiro in any way, he won't go back to the center of the room. Once Shiro is dead, the Lich isn't much of a problem, but if you do run into a problem, you can activate the shrines around him for help (which is also needed for Masters). You get all the blessings of the god's shrine (for instance, if you activate Grenth's shrine, your whole party will get blessings such as Ritualist of Grenth, the vampiric blessing or whatever it's called, etc) and the Lich isn't all that hard to shake off while doing so as long as your group moves quickly. The blessings are an enormous help especially if you get all of them.

Im a Ligbringer rank1 and i have hard mode unlooked but following this page http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Lightbringer i tried in vain to get a Lightbringer bounty at The Mirror of Lyss. Why i cant find, even in hard mode, these bountes? In The Mirror of Lyssthere i saw 2 sunspear bounties...

About Lich he is crazy, he kill in 1-2 shots a party member and cant get the shrines too so easy. After i kill Shiro easy i try in vain to get the shrines cuz 3 henchies die and i need to kill Lich without the bonus

No there are not titles like Lightbringer or SS in phrophecies. A lot of people don't know this, but titles didn't even exist in the game until the release of Factions (ie, there was no cartographer, treasure hunter, etc titles at all).

I dint get bounties cuz my title was enabled but i did not spoke with the guy of seekers bla bla in chantry of secrets. Now is ok and i have om my skills screen always the bonus atack from Lightbringer title (but i think i had it before, anyway i had the title before i spoke with the NPC)...

World of madness, margonites, spear of torments are creatures against the Lightbringer title work? They dont really tell exactly the creatures affected by this and i checked many sites. They just say Abadon and his demonic bla bla... The plants or insects arent affected by Lightbringer title?

THe primary is report to the White Mantle, it will take u to D'alessio Seaboard.

Lightbringer ONLY affects demons in nightfall, i.e. Margonites, Torment Creatures(word of madness, spear of torment, etc.), titans, shadow army, and stygian creatures. Sunspear doesn't give u anything if it is activated.


When I run Gates of Madness, I kill the Lich first. And the easiest way to do this is to pull the Lich and leave Shiro to twiddle his thumbs... This is a trick I found in this mission. After you close the portals and the Gate opens up to Shiro and the Lich, leave everyone OUTSIDE the gate so that the edge of their aggro bubble is at the gate. You then proceed, by yourself, to hug the right wall as if your mapping, and move forward VERY slowly, litterally inch forward until you see the bubble over the Lich's head that says, "Feel My Power!" or whatever. He will come up alone while Shiro sits there like a tool. Wipe out the Lich, then start cappin shrines and Ignore Shiro. If you have heroes/henchies, continually flag them around so they won't attack him. Witht hat strategy I have never failed that mission, msot of the time do it with 0 deaths. Done the entire mission with heroes/henchies while 2 people were afk the whole time. Few must have skills for me: Wild Blow at least 2 chars with it to alternate, SS and or SV(preferrably) w/Reckless Haste, Empathy, Insidious Parasite is good too, just don't take reckless haste. It's always nice to see 8, -97 health indicators pop up for Spoil Victor when he attacks near the end, not to mention the 8 +97 health to you as well. Not to mention the damage from Insidious and empathy and SS if you have it too. it's beautiful

But Djins (the transparent creatures) arent affected by Lightbringer?


About gate, i dont understand with my english all u said, but i think is imposible to pull Lich to portal without Shiro. U said Shiro sits there like a tool (??). Lich is verry slow also and hard to pull.

My problem is i fail 1 from 8 games - whille killing Lich Shiro kill 2-3 of my party (enough to lose). I tried to kill Shiro first but geting shrines with Lich around is imposible (he have deadly dmg). Anyway i got enabled my Lightbringer thing (i had it but i didnt spoke with the seeker) and im now rank 2 and prolly that why i had problems (but this title affect Lich?)...

1. hug the right wall just inside the gate(that is walk as clos to it as possible)

2. Make it so you are looking toward the Lich and Shiro

3. walk forward VERY slowly until the Lich says, "Feel/Fear My Power!"

4. As sson as he says this, he will come walking towards you, back up and stay inside the gate until he gets in your aggro range then back up until he is in range of the rest of the party. Shiro should stay in the middle and do nothing.

5. Kill the Lich.

6. Capture the Shrines and make sure you continuously move the flag around so henchies/heroes don't attack Shiro.

7. Capture them all and either fight Shiro right after you cap the last one. OR

8. Capture them all and regroup outside out of Shiro's Aggro Range and Recharge. Then kill Shiro.

Works every time for me.

I do not believe Lightbringer affects Shiro or the Lich. It ONLY affects the demons I mention before in NIGHTFALL. Lightbringer DOES NOT do anything to Demons in Prophecies AND Factions.

Lightbringer doesn't affect Shiro or the Lich (I tried using Lightbringer's Gaze and it didn't work and when I d-shot them, I don't get added damage).

Also, creatures like the Word of Madness, Rain of Terror, Arm of Insanity are affected by Lightbringer. I believe Shadow Army units are affected as well. Basically, if you can find them in the Realm of Torment, they are affected by Lightbringer. Plants, insects, beasts, regular Kournan units, etc are not affected by Lightbringer.

btw many guys didnt pay these hard runs, what i should do about that? if reporting anet can make nothing i think, cuz really isnt in a legal range a non -payment for a run... But i think these guys broke the first rule of aggrement (about enjoying the game - how i can enjoy if they didnt pay lol)

i run 30 mins, i kill Shiro and they dont want to pay before Lich omg... how is that posible. And i know they usually pay after but why no before?

I used to run the mission on average 2-3 times a night for about 3 weeks straight. I had them pay before the mission if they were gonna be afk or b4 Shiro and the Lich. If they hadn't payed before Shiro and the Lich for any reason I would send heroes/henchies to Shiro and Lich and let em die and then leave. Only exceptions were people I had run before. I never once got jipped out of any of the runs I did and I always beat the mission. I charged 15k for Master's on Gate of Madness. I only did Master's on that mission because it makes it easier IMO.

One tip when going for the Masters "Flag or get your group to the back of each temple it causes the lich to break agro and return to the center of the area" Once you capture them all he is toast
