Mesmer Fast Casting Idea

The current PvE game has mesmers in the unpopular side and its becoming harder and harder to be a valid member of the team. Much like assassins but not as bad.

So I have devised a twist to the Fast Casting attribute. Multi Casting! For every 4 pts in Fast casting you may cast an extra spell while the other is being cast for a max of 5 spells at once, this can even be done to multiple targets.

For example, you have two targets casting a spell in front of you. You have Backfire and Power Drain in your skill bar. While you cast backfire at one target you can switch targets and use power drain.

The fast casting benefit for each additional spell is halved.

For spells that dont have a recharge time (like flare or orison of healing), the after cast delay still applies so you cant throw like 5 flares at once.

The final After Cast Delay for each additional spell used will stack after you stop casting. So Casting all 5 spells at once you end up with 3.75 seconds before you can cast a spell again.

I think Fast casting should work at 150% of what it does today. That might give mesmers some oomph

Q: Why did Wastrel's Demise get a nerf from 1/4 cast to 1 second cast?

A: Because a 1/4 cast damage spell is capable to hitting so close to the spell that cast before it, that the spike damage from those two spells could be considered to be in the same packet.

The DPS is too high for the time period between each spell finishes. It makes for a very strong spike. Imagine if we did this here. Let's say you cast Energy Burn, Shatter Enchant, and Overload. all at about the same time. They all land at about the same time because you don't have to wait for each to finish casting. It hits hard and fast, and there is less of a chance to catch the spike compared to each spell being cast separately.

Consider that, plus that this change would not do anything to help PvE Mesmers specifically.

Savannah Heat and Gale would be too powerful..
Just one of the many examples how skills not only from the Mesmer line would be too powerful, but many other professions also.

And I agree that it wouldn't help PvE Mesmers at all, except for maybe a big AoE spike with Shatter Hex + Hex Eater Vortex on hex-heavy mobs.

Besides the fact that I have no idea how you could hit the buttons to cast 5 spells at once at 4 different targets in under 1 second (since memser spells all cast faster from FAST CASTING), it just sounds unfeasable in terms of game mechanics. If you get interupted while casting these spells, which one gets interupted? All of them?
