Builds for Razah?

Hey guys..!
I'm not sure if this topic has been brought up already, but i'm having trouble making a build for Razah.
Can anyone give me advice on what i should use for him? Or what would you put on Razah's skill bar?
I know there are some skills which he won't use when he's meant too (one reason why it's a little bit more tricky to make a build for him).

Any guidance and assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

My advice is: Nothing that takes any kind of intelligence. More than one weapon spell? Right out. Restoration+Spirits? He'll lay a 5 second-cast spirit and watch you die.
Seriously, the AI for rit heroes is really, really horrendously bad.

Rit hero AI is bad. I mean *BAD*.

Give Razah Weapon of Warding, and he spams it randomly on your team on recharge. Give him Splinter Weapon, and you get the same thing. He has no understanding that any of his Channeling or Restoration skills have conditionals that are basically required. If he's just dropping spirits, he doesn't maximize anything and just puts everything wherever he happens to be at the time.

If you want to micro the spirits, you might want to try the Communing route. That apparently works ok as long as you plant him in a good place to make a spirit pile.

The only bar I've ever been happy with is Weapon of Remedy though. He doesn't exactly play the character well, but he doesn't screw it up horribly. The bar I like is:

Weapon of Remedy
Vengeful Weapon
Soothing Memories
Protective Was Kaolai
Wielder's Remedy
Leech Signet
Ether Signet
Death Pact Signet

12+2 Restoration
8+1 Spawning Power
10 Inspiration

Protective Was Kaolai is the only good Ritualist skill that Razah micros well. He keeps it up constantly like an attunement, and drops it with a quickness when the party takes a big AoE hit. As an added bonus, the pot keeps him from drawing piles of aggro and dying. Soothing Memories is good when he maintains the pot, and the Weapons are effective as long as they trigger.

Wielder's Remedy isn't good, I'd cut it if there's something else you really want, but I haven't found anything good.

I'd have to agree. For how long it takes to actually get him its disappointing that he has the worst AI of all heroes. I tried a resto rit build that I run with my own rit on him. He not only wasted energy casting heals on me when I wasn't taking damage but he also rarely healed me when I was dying. He spirit spams well but doesn't spread any of them out so a single AoE attack pretty much wipes out any sort of offence or defense he's put up.
I haven't tried Protective is Kaolai before with him so I guess I'll have to see i that build makes Razah actually useful in a party.

I'm slowly trying out differing builds for Razah.

One thing Razah is good at is maintaining Weapon of Fury on all physical damage dealers, and from what i can tell, casts it on warriors and paragons before others such as Rangers, but this could be a coincidence. When I take my rit and her razah, however, and my rit is holding ashes, he casts it on her from time to time....evidently holding ashes reads as "not wielding a staff" to Razah... Not a huge problem.

Some of my Razahs go communing, sometimes Razah will forget to cast Boon of Creation before casting his first spirit but he generally remembers to use Ritual Lord. I give him protective spirits, on the whole, and if I leave him to do his own thing he generally keeps the spirits up pretty well.

Cruel was Daoshen = Bad idea. he stands there holding them and refuses to cast anything else.

My experiences tell me that Weapon of Fury is used on anyone who uses adrenaline (entering combat it would be cast on myself or Morgahn), or is low on energy since it fills both of those up. Better than using Splinter Weapon on kiting monks at least.

I tried Splinter Weapon on Razah last night in an ele-heavy party. He cast Splinter Weapon on me on recharge, even though it hadn't expired - presumably because I use a martial weapon in my mainhand. Refreshing Splinter Weapon on a caster on recharge = great use of the skill.

Martial vs. ranged isn't the culprit for Splinter; there doesn't appear to be anyway to distinguish how the way the AI uses it. Despite his inability to use it as one would expect however, its long duration does make it very handy for pre-casting against a mob that will ball up if you have the patience. To a lesser extent, when there is a wall nearby that you can force the lot to crowd around a protted warrior.

In general, Razah will overwrite any weapon if he has one available as his disposal (concerning the communing and channeling weapons anyway). If you're going to use any of the weapons from either of those two trees, make sure to only take one.

So far the only thing I have found he does decent is the Explosive
Creation build, there is a thread somewhere on it I think.

Skill are like:
Explosive Growth, Boon of Creation, Animate Bone Minions, Animate Shambling Horror, Death Nova, Blood of the Master, Signet of Creation and Jagged Bones

Max Death magic but do not remeber the rest of the stats.

I've setup my Razah Hero like this:-

[Channeling Magic 12+1+3 / Spawning Power 12+1]
1) [skill]Bloodsong[/skill] or [skill]Destruction[/skill]
2) [skill]Essence Strike[/skill]
3) [skill]Spirit Burn[/skill]
4) [skill]Spirit Rift[/skill]
5) [skill]Painful Bond[/skill]
6) [skill]Signet of Spirits[/skill]
7) [skill]Gaze of Fury[/skill]
8) [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] or Rez Skill

String = OACiIyk8UOXmXOHX18aasFAA

Haven't really keep an eye on how he made use of the skills but did see his skills kept recharging from time to time and without any energy issue

You may need to disable Gaze of Fury and use it manually to destroy any "unfriendly" spirit (I noticed him use this skill on his own Bloodsong though).

Good ol' USA, where everyone else wants to be

Now Plays World of Warcraft on Whisperwind

I use the following with Razah and it seems to work well.

Communing 12 +1
Restoration 12 +1+2
Spawning Power +1

Weapon of Remedy (he seems to use this on himself more than on others)
Mend Body and Soul
Spirit Light
Life
Restoration
Recovery
Pain (Bloodsong is better IMO however because I have the pre order communing staff I use it and thus need communing at least 9 therefore Pain is selected otherwise I would pump channeling and go with Bloodsong.)
Flesh of my Flesh

For the most part this build has been successful. With one attacking spirit it makes a great compliment with my Olias MM and a good back up healer party condition remover.
