Looking to put together a good party for a single player. I started with Factions, but really struggled with finding people to play with - hence getting Nightfall for the Heroes.
I am a Paragon/anything (skill capturing 2nd prof), usually take my two Hero monks (healer & protector), + Margid & pet. I then add 4 henchies to hit things :-)
What are the most important Heroes to work on? I assumed that monks would be best as they are hard to find online (when I play anyway). Don't want to waste Hero Armour (when I get it!) on someone I won't use.
Sorry this was long winded. Thanks for the help.

With any luck you might see full-party hero availability when GWEN releases.

I use these ones, almost every time:
Zhed (Ele)
Sousuke (Ele)
Dunkoro or Tahlkora (mainly Tahlkora)
Then I either use henchmen, or have a guildie bring his 2 Ele heroes and a monk.

Ideally you have two human monks and two more Rangers, which focus on spreading conditions like daze, poison, bleeding.
Curse hexes absolutely rock in Hard mode. SS, Mark of Pain, Price of Failure, Insidious Parasite, Reckless Haste and Barbs are usually the core of my Necro build. Take in mind that all rangers should deal physical damage. Their pets and minions already do, this maximizes the effect of MoP and Barbs.
For a Paragon: Again, Olias is most important. I have not played my Paragon in Hard mode, but I think you cannot rival the efficiency of a human controlled curses necro.
Get some friends to help you, Go for the Eyes, Anthem of Flame and They are on Fire works great with my mentioned Curses Necro combo. You can replace a Ranger.
I am no friend of Elementalists in Hard Mode, the usual Fire Ele does not have proper self defense or contribute things like throw dirt or pets to the party. But this is my biased view, as they do not work well together with my favorite Curse Necro build. Besides that, I found Water Trident quite useful in Hard mode, playing a Water Ele myself! And there are definitely earth/air/water builds that excel in hard mode, whereas they are not near as effective as the brute nuking of fire eles in normal mode.

Thanks for the input. I appreciate how useful it is adding 'player' monks etc, but when I take my Paragon to play Factions, I will be looking for a good party from my heroes and henchies. Very hard to get even 2 others on there now. No doubt when the next chapter comes out, Nightfall will struggle too.
Good to know about the spellcasters - I have only played a warrior and a Paragon so far (green newbie I know). Haven't seen the power of the spell :-)
Cheers.

Yeah, recently I've found that 4 Savannah Heat ele's tears things apart so fast that you don't really need to think too much about it hehe. So your best bet is fit out your Ele's, then work on other stuff when you need them
