Got ANOTHER Siege Turtle!!!

Well, I was kind of replying to Ishtar's post above.

Randomness is a fickle thing, but perhaps presents and rewards should be more than just random, and while I don't think people should be rewarded for grinding, there is something to be said for loyalty and dedication.

Last locked chest I opened, which was in the realm of torment, gave me a NORMAL assassin tome... Hurray for bad luck... If I didnt have bad luck I wouldnt have any luck at all. -_-

Wait, you're saying you didn't want the siege turtle? I'll take it! That's my favorite minipet! Gimme gimme gimme!


I mean, if it's free, of course.

maybe we should set up a minipet trade for those of us with duplicates (or triplicates---3 wallows here).....

OP, stop crying! My girlfriend got 3 of those damn scorpions, didn't even bother her. She did get Shiro as well, mind you :P

Got two Fungal Wallows and then a Jungle Troll. 2nd round coming up for the Wallow chars soon. I remember I was really quite bummed when I got the first wallow (aka The Fat Rat) on my oldest character. Hating Cantha, I would have preferred a Devourer, which would have been so much more fitting for my Tyrian char.
Actually I wasn't very impressed when I then got the second Wallow either, come to think of it. I got the Troll on a Canthan mule char, makes sense I guess.

But in the end it's just a curiosity and I've never really cared much about minipets in the grand scheme of GW things.

My friend got 4 turtles, I lol'd.

To be honest, it's free money for those who don't want to keep it and I arrived at guild wars late so when I get a mini it no longer has the huge price new minis get. But I don't mind, my mini hydra is super cool especially when it goes into it's battle pose. For second year i'm hoping for Aatxe, Lich or Gwen but if I get a Harpy i'll use it all the same.

As for me, I've started having my first birthdays, so far one Necrid Horseman and one Kirin. I've seen people complaining from time to time that they get the same minipets most of the time. I'm REALLY hoping I get lucky and get different ones each time...I'd be upset if I got another 3 Necrid Horsemen. I'm not really interested in selling them, but I'd like each character to have a different one for a bit of variety. I imagine opening a present to find...ANOTHER of what you already have 5 of is a little disspointing.

My sympathies to the OP and all others who've ended up with multiples. I too would be most disappointed.

I do wonder though - has anybody ever got a multiple of one of the rarer pets? Two or three Ruriks on one account? Four bone dragons?

If there is some sort of random generator fu, then surely this has happened to some lucky soul out there...
