Jesus christ it's like you people have never ever seen a decent example of roleplaying before. Sure, he wrote his post in character, but that doesn't stop the sentiment from being dumb.

Ah but didn't you know?

His post was only 10% dumb.

And what exactly is the problem that this person decided to try posting something like this?

A normal, mature adult who didn't think it was funny or clever would just ignore it and move on
with life. They wouldn't feel a deep seeded need to put that person in his place, all to just bolster
their own self-worth.

It takes a special kind of imature person who's first reaction is that they will not only not ignore it,
but they will post insults at the person, in an attempt to ridicule and humliate that person. Tell him
publically how much you disapprove (as if your opinion is any more valuable than his, or anyone elses
for that matter). Shame him into ever trying to do anything like that again. How dare he even try
something like that eh? Who is he to try anything clever? We all know you guys are all sooooo much
more clever, and superior.. After all, that is what you are really saying by such complaints. Isn't it?

(Don't deny it)

What in the world is accomplished by publically putting this guy down and making a stink about it?
Besides making yourselves feel better about yourself and grandstanding/showing off for other imature
fools?

That's right, nothing.

Some of you need to seriously grow up, and get over yourselves. And don't even think of acusing me of
the same because what I'm doing is REACTING to your own behavior. Giving you what you deserve. You dish
it out, so you can get it right back. So don't try crying about that. It's foolish. You are getting exactly the
kind of response you deserve based on your own behavior.

It's most sad that people like you don't realize how badly that reflects on you, to normal, mature adults.
It makes you look like insecure children.

You're welcome for this wake up call. Now I wonder how many of you will actually even recognize it. Instead
I expect several flames, including numerous picking aparts of my message with all kinds of clever rationalizations
and nit picks to try to discredit what I have said. And then you'll high five each other again for putting this
old emo fool in his place, right?

PS> EMO is just code word for people who are too insecure to recognize and come to terms with their OWN
emotions. Just living in denial.. That's another pearl of wisdom for you guys to "QQ" about.

Now go ahead and flame, because I won't be reading back to see it anyhow. Rant and rave all you want kids,
you know the truth hurts.

Well that, by definition, is "ranting and raving". But wow, he's going to say all that (sounded pretty upset, an "emotion", believe it or not), and then not check back to see his handiwork? A bit childish and screams "I got the last word - HA!".

Oh well, not that I don't agree with him, people really need to stop asserting their arrogance left and right. Still, very much pot calling the kettle black.

... Both my sets of 55 armour, for my monk and necro... have both been nixed. They will cost considerably more than the original armour investment alone to fix back up again.... and it is NOT even remotely appreciated.... Not least because I barely have enough money left to even do such a thing.... considering where the price of the radiant insignias is going.

THIS is just the hair that broke the camel's back for me.
Why the sweet mother of fvck did A-Net have to go and change all the armour? The old system was just fine! FINE! It was the weapons that needed fixing.... but OOOoohh no.... They had to go and fvck over everyone by r4ping all the lower-level armour and forcing people to pay through the nose for radiant insignias for any and all energy armour.

I don't understand why everyone else was so positive about it. This is absolutely ridiculous...
I agree wholeheartedly. For my 55 Monk build I decided to get Drok's armor and had three pieces before the update so I'm a little half lucky. Even so, the tattoo armor costs a lot just buying the materials for it in the first place and, since the update took place, any fresh armor must be inscribed to do anything special, effectively raising the expenses of the remaining two pieces by 2.8k. What made this worse for me was that the tattoo armor's material consumption and merchant price remained the same, they weren't lowered to compensate for the loss of the extra energy.

When I learned that lesser armor lost their bonuses anyway I was further infuriated because I remember what it was like way back when special Elementalist armor only had specific resistances instead of universal resistance (like Pyromancer armor from Ascalon only had +15 armor vs. fire) and how difficult it was to survive on that.

All that needed to be done was to make the basic armor set for each profession (the ones without unique abilities) inscribible. Had just that happened we wouldn't be in this miserable situation.

While I agree with you that a warrior should never use high energy spells, if he finds it fun, and it gets the job done, why shouldn't he use it? It is a game, and some people would rather use a build that is not as efficient as another simply because they find it more fun.

This community has really gone downhill since prophecies first came out, if someone is not using cookie cutter builds, or they enjoy doing something different, they get insulted. How does the way they play their game affect you? It doesn't, so why do people insist on telling others how to play THEIR game?

Just to clarify my understanding,

The existing level 20 armors on our characters have been changed and the inherent bonuses have been replaced with insignias i.e. Druids chest with +8 energy is now +5 inherent & +3 from radiant insignia?

Whereas lower level armors have lost the inherent bonus and have not been replaced with insignia?

In HA, radiant usually is the best choice because there's no VoD.

In GvG, no.

Nice post

There's nothing wrong with the guy using 25 energy spells if he wants to. If it fits his playstyle, then go for it, it may work very well in combination with his build

From the sound of things, it wasn't exactly getting the job done to begin with. Honestly, the entire OP sounds like a joke to me, I'm personally not convinced the guy isn't just parodying the constant complaints posted here, by taking them to an exaggerated over the top level.

This thread has run it's course. We've had flames, we've had people trying to bypass the swear filter, heck we've even had a guest appearance by a permanently banned member who made an alt account just to ridicule posters in this thread.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about the decision that was made regarding less than maximum level armor not receiving the bonuses.
