Reli loaded?
Druids is one of the more useful, as would be the +10AL while using preparation/stance versions.

It is +30 AL vs elemental for all Ranger armor sets and an additional +15AL vs cold for the frostbound set, but still 115 AL total. But just GC and pyrebound would have a similar effect. Oh, and do add the mesmer's elemental resistance or Mantra of Frost (or Flame).

I just use Druids. Scout's armor is bugged and I don't use stances most of the time. At least not until ANet gives us an Expertise IAS that can be kept up constantly.

Truth be told, I've found more use for the + health armor than the +energy armor. Either is a good choice.

Unless you've got a shortbow, you won't be getting into the fight that often. I suggest the energy.

i'd agree with druids (radiant).
25 energy simply isn't always enough, even with expertise. You're playing pretty far back, so as far as pve goes between the distance and defensive stances, health/armor isn't necessary. however, many ranger builds can get a bit energy-intensive (think splinter barrager if the fight goes long). plus, my favorite build, R/P (with a bow, none of that pack hunter crap) uses a combo that soaks up a good 13 energy, so if you're using that often, you'll want the extra energy.
overall, i find radiant armor to be useful for just about any build.
