To help with your decision, you will find at the top of the Q&A forum a sticky named "for the player on a budget" that explains the differences between the two.

Also stickied is a thread for trial key requests.

There's too much math involved in "fractions." (OK, that was bad, I know.)

Between factions and Nightfall, I'd recommend Nightfall. The learning curve is a lot more forgiving to new players. The story line in Nightfall is the best of the 3 chapters, IMHO, and it's a much more enjoyable place to play in, generally speaking.

For a good look at the pros and cons of each chapter, check this thread: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10102502

It isn't a good idea to post email addresses on forums so I reported it to a mod to have it removed in case you don't check back for a while.
Also, I would assume you are new to the game and would suggest getting Nightfall because of heroes which help A LOT, especially in the less popular areas where real people are harder to come by. To fully use your heroes you have to understand the different classes so that may be a bit difficult if you aren't prepared. But you can always find help on the classes here on Guild Wars Guru and on Guild Wiki. Another thought is that Nightfall is longer than Factions is and therefore you would be able to spend more time in the game and have more to explore.

It's not against any rule to use your e-mail in your posts, so feel free to do so as you please; I've gone ahead and switched the format anyway here. In case you're unaware of it, many sites have bots crawling them that will mine e-mail addresses for spam mailing lists, and in particular, for sites like these, where individuals often use email addresses globally, as targets for 'hacking.' (which I'm including social engineering and brute forcing with, for all that they're user-ended problems)

This post is closed, however, as there's an ongoing discussion in, as has been stated, various listed threads. Check them out if you're interested.
