secondary profession

hello all. i just bought nightfall and im about to start a new dervish character, and was just wondering what is a good secondary for a dervish is. i know most secondaries will work but i would appreciate any suggestions and explanations for it. thanks.

I am no Dervish expert, but I've finished 18/20 mission with Dervish skills only.
My secondary is Elementalist, which I only use its earth spells if I do solo/small group farming.
It's easy enough to be full Dervish until you can get Profession changer.
I believe Warrior (brute force), Monk (protection, hex & condition removal) and Elementalists (tanking) are the most suitable secondary profession.
I chose Elementalist because its protection has good synergy with mysticism.

I have a D/Mo, using rebirth, mend ailment from my monk side, everything else is from my Dervish side.
If I felt our PUG needs more healers (because in a group of 8, if we have 1 monk/rit, the rest are offensive spellcasters or melee), then I will utilize Protection spells, as they synergize with Mysticism and Earth Prayers. Reversal of Fortune is awesome with Vital Boon and Signet Of Piousness. RoF is almost instant cast, quick recharge, cheap and used to instantly recharge SoP.
But usually, you don't need a secondary profession. D/N with Mark of Pain is interesting, but you should have a lot of points into Curse for it to do its job.
