Which quests should one save for farming?
Francis Crawford
I often find posts here that make me wish I had NOT taken the reward for a side quest, since it's good for farming. So it might be good to recap them in one thread.
In fact, I suggest that a sticky be made on this subject. I'm not sure whether this thread will wind up qualifying, but it's a start.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To start things off:
1. The Last Pig, in North Kryta Province. This was the classic quest to farm ettins for runes. Now out of favor.
2. The Battle of Turai's Procession (I bet you can guess which zone). It's the last? of a series of centaur-related questions.
3. The Halycon (sp?) Job, the second in a series of quests in the Jade Sea.
4. That quest with lots of assassins in the northeast of the Jade Sea, whose name I'm obviously forgetting, and that I've regrettably already done with my main farming character.

Also, A Show of Force in the Sulfurous Wastes is great for LB/SS points and also gives some good drops. E.g., I got a req 11 Elemental Sword a few days ago from a Locked Chest. And one or two each of various cool weapons (Aerowind Sword, Ancient Axe, Desolation Sword, eye skin Flame Artifact, etc., albeit in many cases purple or high-req or from a Locked Chest. Plus an Elite Tome from the Locked Chest.) Also, if you have Requiem for a Brain active and pick up/drop the Tome of Ancient Knowledge, you get 10 more Margonites in a new spawn. (8 worms vs. 5 Margonites is an EASY fight.) 700 easy LB points, give or take (I've gotten over a 1000 by doing the zone more completely). >150 before you kill the bosses, 150 each for three bosses, and 60 more for the last spawn. And if it's your first time there, of course don't overlook the Treasure Chest! All this can be done purely in worms. Great for leveling up heroes, too, should you need to. NEOgeo
Skree hatchling season, ludacris amount of high lvl kree's to kill in HM
isle of the dead ... hardcore HM undead farming in NF were u can resoze almost instantly after killing 5 undead in seconds, primary quest, so u must make your char in NF and also lvl it on newbie island and never leave .. i done that, lol Evilsod

I'd be tempted to say save all quests... especially on prime farming characters. You never know what quest might suddenly become great farming spots. Memphis Rain

nvm i had it active ,just didnt have Saint Anjeka's Shrine quest is called "A new escort" As I've posted in another thread, there's another way to farm Dragon Mosses in Factions but it involves saving a Primary Quest. Keep the Primary Quest "Defenders of the Forest",with that quest active there will be lots of Dragon Mosses spawn right outside Saint Anjeka's Shrine in Drazach Thicket. Of course this is not for everyone, especially if you are Kurzick and want to finish the game. Francis Crawford

You do know you can do luxon primaries or AB as a guest in a luxon guild and finish the game luxon side, even as a kurzick, right? ahbuh

Drag then all the way back to we you come from run along the cliffs edge and the dragon mosses will follow and bunch up into a ball. i hope this will help, i recommend using ss and ip mo/n build so after that you can kill the ranger boss behind them for elite ranger tome, green bow, or a gold drop if you lucky.

Duuuuh. I was just saying most people in the Kurzicks are most likely already done with this quest.

Ahh. Pulling. Good point. Thanks.
I don't have a monk character, and 55 HP with a necro primary sounds way too stressful. So I'll stick with my elementalist for farming (except that I've finally started a warrior to play with all the toys my elementalist is finding). Silly Warrior
Wonderful idea Francis. Such a great one I turned it into a comprehensive sticky!
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10165539 Please redirect all of your attention to the new sticky. Only post if it fits the standards. Thanks, and great idea! /Closed |
