Of the bonus items especially the Spiritbinder is useful, since it provides +15 unconditional energy, 10% HCT and 20% HSR for all spells. I originally gave it to all my caster heroes as a stopgap measure until finding something more suitable. Also, Koss manages just fine with a Soulbreaker if there are no better options available

Spiritbinder is probably by far the best of the bonus items to come out, but it isn't available in the Guild Wars Game of the Year Edition. It only came with the Factions Pre-Order (I think), and it certainly isn't as conceptually awesome as the Captain America shield or the Chimeric Prism.
To be frank, most of the Game of the Year bonus items are very solid, if not spectacular. The worst, by far, is probably the Rhino's Charge (Sundering, 15^50). On my ranger, I use the Soul Shrieker for traps / touching, and I use the Poisonous Nevermore Flatbow for various degen farming builds. They're also a great way to quickly buff your heroes. Before I picked up a Ghial's, I stuck a Soul Shrieker on Olias. Eventually, I'll replace the Ghial's with a more deserving setup, but you work with what you have.
