Anti-scam scheme for Droknars Run?

Ok I myself have recently been starting to farm cash by running 5 people at a time from Becon's Perch to Droknar's Forge. Classicly as I am sure many people are aware the droks run is very easily prone to scamming.

The normal droks running method that I use is to pay 1k at snakes and 1k at camp. However most people will just log off at the camp to avoid paying. These people are I have noticed mainly L20 characters who I am sure are able to get from that outpost to Droks well on their own.

My question is how to avoid this scam?

I thought of making all L20 characters pay the whole price at snakes, but this may be complicated and result in many angry tantrums by the more immature players, saying it is not fair. So what is fair? Charge everyone the full price at snakes?

Id quite like to hear other runner's methods on how to deal with scamming as well.

Well my best bet is to just get over it. There are always going to be scammers. If you don't want to get scammed don't do the run. If you charge full early you'll have no customers, if you do it as it is now sometimes you'll get scammed. So all you can do is pretty much just suck it up and hope that you get the honest people who'll pay you.

When I used to run droks all the time, I would always charge half at snake dance, and the other half at grenths footprint. It might make the run take a little longer, but at least you get your money.

I did the same. The run from grenths to rankor is quite easy, and even if something weird happens and you die, it's still easy with dp. Most people were cool with it, but you always get some who whine (probably the same people who bail at rankor).

Charge at better places like what people used to do. If they're going to throw tantrums, tell them to find another runner. Either way you'll get scammed, if they don't pay at grenth's footprint since you just lost out on 20 minutes of your time running the first parts,,,

You can always force them to open trade windows as soon as you enter the area before rankor. Do the run and just before you enter rankor you take the payment. Then you enter the outpost. Do the same for the next area. You wont win anything on leaving after payment and if they dont pay they dont get to rankor.

This is very well thought out, and probably the best method although u can only trade with 1 person at the time... good job!

Before I ever left beacons, I always made sure they understood where they would pay, and if someone did not agree, I would kick them and add someone else. It has been my experience, that the only ones who do not agree to that payment method, are the ones that will scam you.
