Yeah the real question is why are you trying to play your ranger like an ele... and not a ranger...

Expert's Dexterity is amazing, it just isn't that great with Bows.

[skill]Expert's Dexterity[/skill][skill]Barbed Spear[/skill][skill]Disrupting Throw[/skill][skill]Blazing Spear[/skill][skill]Merciless Spear[/skill] It doesn't affect adrenaline skills, as those don't have "recharges" per say.

R/A is about the only thing ED will work with. Your R/P build is a complete joke. Your Beastmaster build is also laughable. The only reason R/A works is because there are several skills that give you energy back, which cover for the ridiculous cost of skills under Experts. And even then i'd rather use a bow ranger with Prep Shot... it would be more useful.

incendiary arrows ranger
Ranger/Monk
Level: 20

- Needling Shot (Marksmanship)
- Crossfire (Marksmanship)
- Incendiary Arrows [Elite] (Wilderness Survival)
- Favorable Winds (Marksmanship)
- Quickening Zephyr (Wilderness Survival)
- Natural Stride (Wilderness Survival)
- Troll Unguent (Wilderness Survival)
- Mending Touch (Protection Prayers)

Alternative configuration

- Needling Shot (Marksmanship)
- Crossfire (Marksmanship)
- Incendiary Arrows [Elite] (Wilderness Survival)
- Favorable Winds (Marksmanship)
- Quickening Zephyr (Wilderness Survival)
- Troll Unguent (Wilderness Survival)
- Mending Touch (Protection Prayers)
- Resurrection Signet ()

Either one is mainly used for interrupting and not really killing. im wondering if serents quickeness would be better than quickening Zephyr.... I think you can switch some of these skills around and it would be a LOT better. Incendiary should be up most of the time with a... 4 second down time i think.... idk never tried it.

barbed arrows rager
Ranger/Mesmer
Level: 20

Expertise: 13 (11+2)

- Barbed Arrows (Wilderness Survival)
- Marauder's Shot (Marksmanship)
- Troll Unguent (Wilderness Survival)
- Serpent's Quickness (Wilderness Survival)
- Mantra of Concentration (Inspiration Magic)

Not that bad of a build i geuss.Mantra before using barbed arrows and you can ge barbed arrows up. mainly for spreading around conditions mght be able to kill but i really doubt.

crappy expert's dexterity build
Ranger/Assassin

- Golden Lotus Strike (Dagger Mastery)
- Apply Poison (Wilderness Survival)
- Expert's Dexterity [Elite] (Expertise)

Well for the worst ranger elite ever i came up with this......... i think it would work but im not sure......

crappy glass arrow's build
Ranger/Dervish
Level: 20

Expertise: 13 (11+2)
Marksmanship: 13 (11+2)
Wilderness Survival: 5
Wind Prayers: 7

- Glass Arrows [Elite] (Expertise)

- Crossfire (Marksmanship)
- Serpent's Quickness (Wilderness Survival)
- Harrier's Haste (Wind Prayers)
- Attacker's Insight (Wind Prayers)
- Natural Healing (Wind Prayers)
Mainly just raw damage but has a nice Daze and can put out decent damage as well. attacker's insight to get concussion shot off without draining all your energy.

critical interrupter
Assassin/Ranger
Level: 20

Critical Strikes: 13 (10+3)
Shadow Arts: 8
Marksmanship: 12

- Keen Arrow (Marksmanship)
- Screaming Shot (Marksmanship)
- Needling Shot (Marksmanship)
- Disrupting Accuracy (Marksmanship)
- Shadow Refuge (Shadow Arts)
- Way of the Assassin [Elite] (Critical Strikes)
- Critical Eye (Critical Strikes)
- Critical Defenses (Critical Strikes)

Mainly for interrupting. can take a beating from melee classes and should be interrupting the caster for about 53% chance of critical hit i think. Has a bit of a heal to.

ignite arrows ranger
Ranger/Elementalist

Expertise: 13 (10+3)
Marksmanship: 9 (8+1)
Wilderness Survival: 11 (10+1)
Fire Magic: 8

- Prepared Shot [Elite] (Marksmanship)

- Favorable Winds (Marksmanship)
- Prepared Shot [Elite] (Marksmanship)
- Ignite Arrows (Wilderness Survival)
- Dual Shot (Ranger other)
- Troll Unguent (Wilderness Survival)
- Conjure Flame (Fire Magic)
- Mark of Rodgort (Fire Magic)

As said above not to be played like an SF ele but its a fun random build to play. favorable winds or distracting shot can be take out for res sig.

scavengers focus
Ranger/Dervish
Level: 20

Expertise: 13 (11+2)
Marksmanship: 12 (10+2)
Wilderness Survival: 8 (7+1)
Wind Prayers: 7

- Scavenger's Focus [Elite] (Wilderness Survival)
- Screaming Shot (Marksmanship)
- Crossfire (Marksmanship)
- Distracting Shot (Expertise)
- Harrier's Grasp (Wind Prayers)
- Harrier's Haste (Wind Prayers)
- Dwayna's Touch (Wind Prayers)
- Resurrection Signet ()

I still can't believe i put this one together. Has raw dmg stacked on a few conditions. Scavenger's focus seems really bad but you start stacking that damage and it really adds up. Add bleeding and cripple to that plus some unblockable/unevadable damage and its really not to bad. If the foe is running you should be doing around an extra 24 damage on normal attacks.

Well they may suck but i found a use for them . Might not be that good by themselves but i think if used in the right team setting they could be a bit better. IDC flame the builds if u want Iknow half of them arent that great anyways :-P With a few tweaks here and there they might be better.

Actually, there is a funny build for AB / Fort Aspen that uses one of these rare preparations, AND one of the rarest elites.

Ignite Arrows

Quick Shot

Rest is optional.

It may sound bit ridiculous, but it works Bit of pressure damage, you can try it out. I havent done much AB with it, but it sure is good from the defend-ramps of kurzick side aspenwood. Especially against 60AL and batches of ppl / minions.
