I think it would be a nice addition if Elite Tomes dropped as unidentified items. Then you could use them to add to your wisdom title the same as other gold items.

That would be nice, but then Tome drop from their respective profession. So unless they change it so that any profession can drop any Tome, there is no point in making them UnID. But then that will make farming for a specific Tome harder, therefore...

People would charge over the hill for them, and you wouldnt be quaranteed your getting one you can use or need.

Their fine as they are! I also with Strife as to why?

I have a small feelings its because your want them to count towards your widsom title, otherwise I cant see why you want this.

Just double click it (change 2nd till you get right one then say) WTS UNID ELITE ELE TOME
If unid doesn't hide health mods i doubt it would stop you using a tome

There are a few items similar to these that are identified already,

being the three xp scrolls

This is not like weapons or armour, therefore i don't think they should be unidentified,

Also a Tome is a book, unless you can't read why wouldn't you know what it was? Armour and weapons can have particular properties built into them that a normal lay person would not notice unless they get aid to do so. The way it works now is representative of the real life situation to these items

I'll just make the Wisdom itle increase by using them.
That would be easier and give some real value to Normal ones.

I think They should make Elite tombs and Rare Scrolls Count as 1 point for both wisdom and treasure hunter titles when picked up

Part of the problem is that tomes are stackable items. If you could id them like that, they wouldn't be anymore.

There is only one type of Elite Tome of each profession.
How on earth would you come up with an ID function for an item from which the icon clearly SHOWS it's that kind of TOME
Suggestions nowadays are really becoming another pile in the laughingstock.

Yeah, imagine that, a title that needs 10000 ID's, woah i mean Elite Tomes drop like... from every other enemy... sometimes even 2 at a time!

Stop been a cretin, they're rare as hell, you can get 1 hell of alot more golds than you can elite tomes. You make it sound like people want Putrid Cysts to count to the title or something.

It wouldn't really work, all the tomes have there own style, so you can pretty much guarantee what the tome is before you ID'd it. Theres not really anything you actually need to Identify...
