A basic(sort of) mm question.

I am a fairly experienced mm, level 20 of course ( who happens to be bankrupt, below 1k ) and i was wondering why my minions are doing so much better in southern shiverpeaks (mob level 24) than in Kaineng City(mob level 20)? obviolsy against afflicted minions do badly because of Afflicted Soul Explosion but against the jade brotherhood and Ah Fam?

Probably 'cuz the Jade Brotherhood are fond of AoE, like the Afflicted - Jade eles employ Wards, Dragon's Stomp and Double Dragon which slaughter minions.
Similarly, the Am Fah are fond of setting traps, and their necros steal corpses with Soul Feast.

Yeah...

And an Am Fah Assassin will rip a minion apart in a matter of seconds... As well as the fact that the necros cast Death Nova...

I think, tho I stand to be corrected, that the monsters in Factions and Nightfall deal alot more damage than the ones in Prophecies did... I noticed that running my MM in Shiverpeaks is alot easier than anywhere else...

I can't say for sure, but it always seemed to me(up until recently), since Factions came out, that the Jade Brotherhood Knights were harder to kill than any other warrior I had faced previously. Like they had better armor or something. Anyone else think that when Factions first came out?

This is mostly due to better skill bars on the enemies and maybe a smarter AI too although i think the AI is GW wide and not campaign related but i'm not sure. I used to think Jade Brotherhood Knights were harder to kill when factions came out, but now, i go through them easily as any other warrior from prophecies.

hmmmmm........maybe they are designed to counter faction like skills, mabe if you went kaineng city with a prophecies build you will do so much better there than in southern shiverpeaks??

Do you Death Nova your minions? That's an obvious tactic when they're dying too quickly.

I noticed that too. They still slaughter me if I haven't played their area for a few months the first time through, but once I'm used to them they're ok.

Maybe it's because they use [wiki]"Watch Yourself!"[/wiki], or the fact that they commonly have Jade Brotherhood Ritualists backing them up.

Back then, it was the 2 groups of 3 Knights right outside The Marketplace. No Rits there. I was playing an assassin so that might have been it... lol. they jsut seemed so much harder than any other warriors I had faced previously. They probably jsut had better skill bars as has been said.
