This is my proposed change to loot scaling:
When solo, you will receive half of the drops (currently it is only 1/8) and they put the farming code back in, but more severe than before (so farming the same place over and over will get you a 1/16 drop rate, to help stop bots)
I also think they should scale gold money drops up for party size, example:
1 person in party - monster drops 100g
4 people in party - monster drops 400g
8 people in party - monster drops 800g
12 people in party - monster drops 1.2k
(I am going to try to explain my reasoning, if you do not understand it, please send me a PM)
With this change, solo farmers will not make much more than those in groups, here is why:***
Solo farmer joe kills 100 monsters and receives 50 drops, 15 of which are money drops. He makes 1.5k+merchant junk so about 3-4k. (Everything that is exempt, stays exempt from loot scaling, I am assuming about 1 gold, and 3 purple drops)
8 man group kills 100 monsters and 30 are money drops, so they make 3k and each person also received about 12 merchant junk drops. Each person makes about 3.5k.
This way, solo farmers are happy because we actually see stuff drop, group players are happy because they are not at a serious disadvantage, and bots are hurt badly. It is a win-win-win situation.
***It has been my experience that 30% of drops are money, and I just used 100g as being the standard money drop to make things easier.
Also, with this system, it pretty much eliminates all grind to fully equip yourself, and your heros. The money drop scaling can always be changed to scale down, or maybe meet in the middle to prevent too much gold entering the economy.

well... this will just be exploited, atm most farm teams are kept small, if this change occurs people will most likely take advantage of it and farm even faster

It is not really any different then it is now, and no one is "exploiting" it. With this change bots will be affected, with the way it is now, there is nothing at all to hurt the bots, and bots are making a lot more then a real player.
