How many professions do you think would make a good GW game?

I actually dont mind all 10. But i'll lean towards the prophecies and factions characters. I really love the rit, I find it more unique than most other characters currently. But, someone had a picture in the thread with a rit in the scout? The rit is a caster.

Six was just fine. Eight was OK, too. Ten is starting to push it, but I think it still works, barely. I'm very glad they won't be adding any more. The more professions there are, the less new stuff each one gets, as the developer resources are finite.
If GW2 is going to have a high level cap, I'd rather see a smaller number of deeper professions, since we won't be able to play as many characters. Instead of adding new professions with each expansion, add new attribute lines to the existing ones.

Disagree. In Diablo the level cap was insanely high yet it didn't stop people from making several accounts with all sorts of characters.
I think the more the better. Variety is always great. Leave balancing to Anet, they know how to do it.

for the classes, I think 1 is enough. then let the player make choices and develop your char on the way. that would be cool.

Hopefully though the next "healer class" will have a viable damage line.
